State Route 123

California 123 follows the original route of U.S. 40 along San Pablo Avenue through El Cerrito, Albany, Berkeley and Oakland. The street was briefly numbered as U.S. 40 Business after the relocation of U.S. 40 onto the Eastshore Freeway (Interstate 80).
