Crazy things caught on DOT Traffic Cameras
« on: July 30, 2009, 09:52:34 AM »

So guys, what crazy things have you been able to catch on DOT Traffic Cameras and have saved pictures of it?

I just scored some shots of this truck in the Runaway Ramp just outside of the Ft. Pitt Tunnels today.  This is the first time I've ever seen that ramp used.

I caught this accident a while ago on a GDOT cam on I-85 in Atlanta.

During the widespread wildfires in San Diego in fall 2007, I watched Caltrans traffic cams of Interstate 15 where all eight lanes were devoid of traffic. Unfortunately I did not think to take a screen shot...

While checking out the traffic cameras to asses my commute home yesterday evening, I was wondering why PennDOT was focusing a camera on Forbes Ave.

The news answered the question:

Damn people being born tying up traffic.  (Didn't actually affect the direction I was gonna head anyway)
