Interstate 87 / New York Thruway South
Button copy guide sign for the Exit 17 trumpet interchange connection with New York 300 (Union Avenue) at Newburgh. New York 300 links Interstate 87 with Interstate 84 at Exit 7 and New York 17K (Broadway) near Stewart International Airport. Interstate 84 is maintained by the New York Thruway system between Port Jervis and Brewster on its trek between Scranton, Pennsylvania and Danbury, Connecticut. Photo taken July of 1995.
Interstate 87 southbound at the "X" stack interchange with Interstate 287 at Hillburn (Exit 15). Interstate 287 enters its overlap with Interstate 87 and the New York Thruway between Suffern and Elmsford across the Tappan Zee Bridge. Motorists departing Interstate 87 south for Interstate 287 south quickly enter New Jersey at West Mahwah. Interstate 287 provides a bypass of the North Jersey metro area of New York between Suffern and New Brunswick. Photo taken July of 1995.
