26th Street southbound below the Elton B. Stephens Expressway and ahead of the 5th Avenue N ramp connector. The connection with the U.S. 31/280 north ramp to I-20/59 was to the left. The tunnel along 5th Avenue N is underneath this intersection. 10/01/03

26th Street north at 8th Avenue N, one block away from Carraway Boulevard. 8th Avenue N travels underneath the beginning of the Red Mountain Expressway viaduct and the multi-level interchange with I-59/20. 10/01/03

Flyovers linked I-59/20 to both the Red Mountain Expressway south and Carraway Boulevard (U.S. 31) at the intersection of 6th Avenue N and 26th Street. 10/01/03

26th Street curves to the northeast to meet Carraway Boulevard and the Elton B. Stephens Expressway. The forthcoming intersection marks the west end of U.S. 280. 10/01/03
