A stand alone shield for SR 896 Business preceded the off-ramp for Glasgow Avenue south from SR 896 on the Glasgow bypass. Trucks are restricted from using the business route south to U.S. 40 (Pulaski Highway) west. 04/24/04
The Glasgow bypass opened to traffic in 1993 as the new alignment of SR 896. Guide signs installed for the intersection with U.S. 40 still referenced U.S. 301 to the east. This panel was carbon copied by 2007. 04/24/04
Overheads on SR 896 south at U.S. 40 (Pulaski Highway) and U.S. 301 in Glasgow. U.S. 301 was truncated from Farnhurst and realigned to end at Glasgow in 1993. Signs however remained incorrect. 04/24/04

This guide sign remained in place on U.S. 301 southbound for the intersection with Bethel Church Road until 2007. Bethel Church Road doubles as SR 15 and SR 286 between Summit Bridge and the Maryland state line. 04/04/04
