Florida State Road 589 - North


The former left exit for Independence Parkway from SR 589 north was repurposed as a right side exit from the inner roadway of SR 60 (Memorial Highway) westbound. 01/02/06

Exit 3 shifted to the outer roadway of SR 60 west that connects with SR 589 (Veterans Expressway) north. 01/02/06

The exchange with Independence Parkway marked the transition from Memorial Highway onto SR 589 (Veterans Expressway) north. 01/02/06

SR 589 (Veterans Expressway) north at Independence Parkway west to CR 576 (Memorial Highway). 01/02/06

Exit 3 is a diamond interchange joining SR 589 with CR 576 (Memorial Highway) west via Eisenhower Boulevard. This ramp remains in service today, but with three lanes instead of two. 01/02/06

A two lane off-ramp departed SR 589 at Exit 3 onto Eisenhower Boulevard. Eisenhower Boulevard parallels the toll road north to SR 580 (Hillsborough Avenue). 01/02/06

The two roadways of SR 589 combine above Memorial Highway. An on-ramp follows from Eisenhower Boulevard north ahead of the diamond interchange (Exit 4) with SR 580 (Hillsborough Avenue). 03/25/07

Exit 4 departed for SR 580 west to Dunedin in Pinellas County and east to North Tampa and Temple Terrace. 03/25/07

A main line toll plaza was located two miles north of SR 580. Rates were originally set at $1.00 per passenger vehicle. 03/25/07
