Florida State Road 836 - East


Previous signage ahead of SR 969 (NW 72nd Avenue and Milam Dairy Road) along SR 836 east. A replacement sign for Miami International Airport added the distance from this point (three miles). 12/28/03

Scene showing the former turquoise steel overpass that carried SR 969 (Milam Dairy Road) over SR 836. This overpass was removed as part of the SR 826/836 project to overhaul the freeway-to-freeway connection and the adjacent interchanges. Milam Dairy Road was reconfigured to pass under the Dolphin Expressway at the exchange was modified from a folded diamond into a diamond interchange. 12/28/03

A loop ramp carried eastbound SR 836 traffic onto SR 969 (NW 72nd Avenue) north toward Medley and south to SR 968 (Flagler Street). 12/28/03

An older style sign bridge spanned the eastbound lanes at the exit for SR 959 (NW 57th Avenue). Removed and replaced in a new location by March 2011, a guide sign for NW 45th Avenue was added 1.5 miles in advance. 12/28/03

SR 836 (Dolphin Expressway) curves along Blue Lagoon one mile ahead of SR 953 (Le Jeune Road). Signage replacements reference the upcoming exit for NW 45th Avenue. 12/28/03

SR 836 east at the half diamond interchange with NW 45th Avenue. A ground level guide sign replaced this sign bridge by 2011. 12/28/03

Former signage along side eastbound SR 836 preceding SR 953 north and south. The overhead for SR 953 (Le Jeunue Road) was replaced but the ground level guide sign for SR 953 south was simply removed. 12/28/03

This auxiliary guide sign displaying a classic cutout SR 9 shield was exchanged for an updated sign with a standard state road shield. 12/28/03

SR 836 east at the cloverleaf interchange with SR 9 (NW 27th Avenue). By 2008 carbon copy sign replacements were in place. 12/28/03

Subsequent signage modifications for the upcoming toll plaza along SR 836 took place by 2008 and again by 2014. 12/28/03
