Interstate 35 Missouri - North


A lane drop occurred just north of the merge between I-29/35 north with U.S. 71 north. The kcICON Project expanded the northbound freeway to three overall lanes. 10/17/04

Traffic merging from The Paseo northbound onto I-29-35/U.S. 71 north formed an auxiliary lane through to a folded diamond interchange (Exit 4B) with Front Street. 10/17/04

The freeway continued north to onto a six lane viaduct to Exit 4B. The kcICON Project expanded the elevated roadway to eight lanes. 10/17/04

An on-ramp merged onto the freeway from Levee Road just ahead of the off-ramp (Exit 5A) to Bedford Avenue, resulting in a short merge area. Service roads were added here to move merging traffic off the I-29/35 mainline. 10/17/04

I-29/35 north continued with just four lanes across a railroad yard and 14th Avenue south. This stretch now accommodates six lanes. 10/17/04

The loop ramp for 16th Avenue at Exit 5 B was replaced with a linear ramp further south to increase the distance to the ensuing ramp (Exit 6 A) for Route 210. 10/17/04

Entering what was a compact cloverleaf interchange with Missouri Route 210 east and Armour Road on I-29/35 north. 10/17/04

Exit 6B for Armour Road west was removed from I-29/35 northbound to eliminate a weaving traffic pattern with the adjacent on-ramp. 10/17/04

Three lanes of I-29-35/U.S. 71 north separate at a three-wye interchange (Exit 8B) to the immediate north of Parvin Road (Exit 8A). 10/17/04
