Interstate 44 Missouri

Interstate 44 ended at Interstate 55 until February 9, 2014, when the Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge opened as the new route for Interstate 70. During that time I-44 overtook the old route of I-70 north 2.91 miles through Downtown, invaliding this former end sign. 04/13/13

Sign changes made by 2013 at Exits 290A/B replaced the pull through panel for I-55 referencing "Downtown Illinois" with I-44 east and Downtown STL. 05/03/12

These overheads for Exit 251C (I-70 exit numbering scheme) were replaced with a new sign bridge by September 2014. Exit 291B is now signed to Walnut Street, reflecting the removal of Memorial Drive northbound between Walnut and Washington Streets as part of the CityArch2015 project. 05/03/12

This ramp was originally the Interstate 70 eastbound mainline connection from Downtown St. Louis onto the Poplar Street Bridge. It was demolished as part of the Poplar Street Bridge interchange project between 2013-17. 05/03/12

Overpass rehabilitation at Compton Avenue by 2015 included sign replacements for Exits 288 and 287 above I-44 west. 05/04/12
