Interstate 74 Quad Cities


Exit 4 forms the northbound beginning of 14th Street. Construction for the new I-74 bridge across the Mississippi River included the realignment of 14th Street and adjacent 13th Street. 03/23/16

U.S. 67 was realigned away from State Street onto an expanded Grant Street with two-way traffic between 10th and 17th Streets. 09/04/05

River Drive carries U.S. 67 west from Bettendorf along the Mississippi River to the Centennial Bridge in Davenport. 09/04/05

During periods of heavy rain or river flooding, River Drive west into Davenport is often closed. 05/28/11

Taking Exit 2 from I-74 west prior to the demolition of The Lodge hotel and conference center. 03/25/16

Exit 1 leaves I-74 west for 53rd Street. 53rd Street west leads to Hamilton Technical College and Northwest Boulevard (former Iowa 130) in Davenport. 53rd Street concludes as 53rd Avenue in residential areas of northeast Bettendorf. 05/07/10

The initial guide sign for Interstate 80 was posted by the 53rd Street overpass. Construction at Exit 1 displaced this sign, with a replacement added a half mile further north. 09/04/05

The I-80 Emergency Detour west from Henry and Rock Island Counties, Illinois concluded where Interstate 74 meets I-80. 04/13/13

The 67th Street overpass above I-74 preceded ramps to Interstate 80. 67th Street was replaced with Veterans Memorial Parkway. 04/13/13

The 53rd Street bridge across I-74 was expanded from four to six overall lanes during 2010-12 construction. 05/23/08
