Interstate 75 Florida - North


Like other areas in Southwest Florida, Interstate 75 has gradually been surrounded by development, losing more and more forest land each year. This scene along I-75 is more open to the right now. 03/26/06

Pentagons for County Road 846 at the end of Exit 111 were relocated to the right hand side of the off-ramp. 03/26/06

Most guide signs from Collier County northward to Manatee County included blank space reserved for County Road numbers. All signs were replaced after 2006 and now include pentagons, even for routes that are no longer signed. 03/26/06

All ground based signage along I-75 between Luckett Road (Exit 139) and State Road 78 (Exit 143) were replaced with overheads as part of the improvement project to add lanes to the freeway. 03/04/14

This older scene one-half mile out from State Road 80 (Exit 141) shows the rural feel of Interstate 75 once had while traveling through the Fort Myers area. 08/28/10

Prior to the 2013-2014 widening project along this stretch, motorists departed for SR 80 (Palm Beach Boulevard) via a one lane ramp. Today this ramp expands to five lanes leading to Palm Beach Boulevard. 08/28/10
