Interstate 80 Utah - West

An older truss based sign bridge directed motorists off I-80 west for 700 East (SR 71) in Sugar House and to remain on the mainline west to both I-15 and SR 201 west. 09/08/05

Widening of I-80 west through to U.S. 89 (State Street) added a sound wall and an additional lane per direction to what was previously an eight-lane freeway. 09/08/05

Four through lanes continue west over U.S. 89 now to the merge with Interstate 15 in North Salt Lake. 09/08/05

Overheads posted at the ramp departure (Exit 123B) for Interstate 15 south and Utah 201 (2100 South Freeway) were replaced by 2011. These signs were posted by 2001 during the reconstruction of I-15 ahead of the 2002 Winter Olympics. 09/08/05

These overheads on the Exit 123 c/d roadway to I-15 north & 80 west, I-15 south and SR 201 west were replaced by 2015. 06/09/11

Guide signs for SR 68 (Exit 118) and I-215 (Exit 117) on I-80 west of Navajo Street in SLC were carbon copied by 2012. 10/28/11

Typical signs for Interstate 215 in Salt Lake City omit control cities while others display belt route. This overhead, mounted to the SR 68 overpass above I-80 west, was replaced by 2012 to include a state-named shield for I-215. 09/08/05

Older guide signs for Bangerter Highway and Terminal Drive to SLC Airport on I-80 west displayed the Exit 115 suffixes in reverse order. 09/08/05

Sign changes made here replaced Exit 115B with Exit 115A as travelers bound for SLC Airport part ways with I-80 west. 09/08/05

Sign replacements made at Wright Brothers Drive in 2015 added a SR 172 shield for Exit 113 and expanded the panel for Exit 114 to show two lanes. 06/08/11
