Interstate 95 Fort Lauderdale to Miami - South


Now on the transition ramp from Interstate 95 south to northbound Florida's Turnpike and the Palmetto Expressway. A loop ramp departs next for Florida 826 west to Hialeah and south to MIA Airport and Pinecrest. 12/28/03

Two lanes continue north from Florida 826 west to Florida's Turnpike mainline north to West Palm Beach and Orlando. Connections with the Homestead Extension (HEFT) also lead motorists south to Key West. 12/28/03

Interstate 95 previously ran southbound with four overall lanes. The left-hand lane was dedicated to HOV-2 traffic during the morning and evening peak hours. 05/16/08

Centerline exits signs were used southward into Miami until the 95 Express Lanes were added in 2008. All signs were moved to the right to as the managed lanes are exit less. 05/16/08

This sign for Florida 922 was replaced with a new panel referencing Broad Causeway Toll Road. The crossing of Biscayne Bay is not part of the state road, though it exists both east and west of the crossing. 05/07/06

Older guide signs for Exit 10A omitted Florida 922 and instead referenced North Miami and Bal Harbour for the state road east. 05/07/06

Exit 8A to NW 95th Street departed from I-95 south one quarter mile south of the NW 103rd Street overpass and this overhead sign. 05/16/08

Crossing Little River Canal, Interstate 95 approached the split diamond interchange (Exit 7) with Florida 934 in north Miami. 05/16/08

Two exits precede the 36th Street Interchange with I-195 along I-95 south into Miami. They were highlighted on this centerline exit sign until 2008. 05/16/08

The one mile sign for Interstate 195 east and Florida 112 west (Exit 4) was moved over the general travel lanes when the 95 Express Lanes were completed. The left-hand ramp for the HOV roadway for the Airport Expressway now serves the HOT lanes. 05/16/08

The high occupancy vehicle lane, which followed Interstate 95 south since Palm Beach County, came to an end at the 36th Street Interchange. The left lane defaulted onto westbound Florida 112 at NW 12th Avenue. 05/16/08

The right three lanes departed the I-95 mainline for Interstate 195 east to Miami Beach and Florida 112 west to the airport. 05/07/06
