Interstate 95 North Carolina – North
Interstate 95 spans the Cape Fear River and approaches both a rest area and diamond interchange (Exit 49) with NC 53 north and NC 53 and 210 south. 05/30/07
Sunnyside School Road (SR 2000) crosses over Interstate 95 on the one mile approach to Exits 52A/B with NC 24. All guide signs for NC 24 were replaced by 2013. 05/30/07
A c/d roadway leaves I-95 north for NC 24 after the Clinton Road (SR 1006) and CSX Railroad underpass. 05/30/07
Sign replacements for NC 24 east to Clinton and west to Fayetteville included the removal of sign lighting fixtures. 05/30/07
Exit 55 lies within the town of Eastover along Interstate 95 north at Murphy Road (SR 1832). Signs for Murphy Road were replaced by 2013. 05/30/07
Eastover incorporated on July 25, 2007 and was home to 3,628 as of the 2010 census. Signs for Murphy Road were replaced by 2013. 05/30/07
An overheight vehicle detector was added for truckers approaching the diamond interchange due to the substandard height of the NC 82 overpass above the I-95 mainline. 12/16/07
A sign with non-standard font for the city of Dunn at Exit 73 was replaced with a smaller panel by 2013. 12/16/07
I-95 leaves the Dunn city limits and next approaches a diamond interchange (Exit 75) with Jonesboro Road (SR 1808). 12/16/07
An older diamond interchange connects I-95 with Hodges Chapel Road (SR 1709) in one half mile. Ramps utilize the adjacent frontage roads. 05/30/07
Sign replacements made at Exit 81 for I-40 replaced all overheads and removed lighting fixtures by 2013. 05/30/07
A single lane ramp departed from I-95 for Interstate 40 north to Raleigh and south to Wilmington at Exit 81. 05/30/07
The forthcoming parclo interchange at Exit 90 included a substandard low overpass for U.S. 701 over Interstate 95. An over height detector directed restricted vehicles to use the Exit 90 on and off-ramps to avoid collision with the span. 12/16/07
The bridge at Exit 90 was eventually modified to meet current standards, resulting in the end of the restriction and removal of these warning signs by 2010. 12/16/07
Guide signs for Exit 90 were accompanied by an overheight vehicle detour placard for truckers. 12/16/07
