Reassurance marker posted beyond the Exit 27 gore point west of the Pawtucket River. This sign was removed during the 2010-13 reconstruction of I-95 through here. The George Street overpass in the background was replaced during that project as well. 07/28/07

This diagrammatic sign outlined the former left-hand ramp for Interstate 195 & U.S. 6 east. It was posted at the merge with the ending R.I. 146 southbound freeway, 1.25 miles north of the three-wye interchange (Exit 21) with I-195. 07/28/07

This diagrammatic sign outlined the configuration of the two-lane ramp (Exits 22C/B/A) departing for U.S. 6 & RI 10 west, Memorial Boulevard east and Providence Place. It was taken down during the Providence Viaduct Replacement Project by 2014. 07/28/07

As U.S. 6 combined with I-95 south at the Atwells Avenue overpass, another diagrammatic sign outlined the former left-hand ramp for Interstate 195 to East Providence. This required U.S. 6 eastbound motorists to merge across all lanes to continue toward Massachusetts. 07/28/07

The left-hand lane formerly defaulted onto Interstate 195 leading away from Downtown Providence to East Providence with three remaining lanes continuing along I-95 south to Cranston and T.F. Green Airport (PVD). 07/28/07
