Typical for Iowa Interstate to Interstate interchanges was the placement of route markers for respective ramp connections. This assembly stood along I-235 east ahead of the loop ramp for I-35/80. 09/04/05

I-235/I-80 shield assembly posted ahead of the loop ramp for Interstate 80 east to Davenport within the Northeast Mixmaster Interchange. A new roadway was built from I-35 south onto I-235 west during 2007-09 construction. 09/04/05

The old roadway of I-235 south defaults onto the loop ramp (Exit 87A) for Interstate 80 east. I-80 leaves the Des Moines area via Altoona for Newton, Coralville, Iowa City and the Quad Cities. 09/04/05

The first southbound Interstate 235 shield was previously posted beyond the loop ramp for I-80 west. This stretch of roadway was demolished during redesign of the Northeast Mixmaster Interchange. 09/04/05
