Button copy sign that was posted for the University of South Carolina Upstate to Valley Falls Road (Exit 22). Two exits serve the adjacent campus from Interstate 585 & U.S. 176. 09/04/04

Reconstruction of the Valley Falls Road interchange included the addition of an eastbound side frontage road where a driveway to an adjacent industrial business once intersected U.S. 176. 09/04/04

U.S. 176 proceeded south with four lanes, a grassy median and no shoulders to the interchange with Business Loop I-85 (former Exits 23B/A). 01/18/04

Adjacent Charisma Drive was realigned to accommodate expansion of Interstate 585 & U.S. 176 leading into the three-quarter cloverleaf interchange with Business Loop I-85 (former Exits 23A/B). 01/18/04

Reconstruction of the interchange with Business Loop I-85 resulted in new sign bridges for the ramps to Greenville and Charlotte. Replacement signs omitted the exit numbers. 09/04/04

Former button copy sign posted for the diamond interchange with U.S. 221 on I-585 south & U.S. 176 east. This exit was reconfigured by 2006 to depart ahead of S.C. 9. 06/22/05

A remnant button copy sign that preceded the Exit 25B off-ramp onto U.S. 221 (Whitney Road) directly. A half-diamond interchange carried S.C. 9 south onto I-585 ahead of the Whitney Road off-ramp. 09/04/04

A final shield for Interstate 585 was posted at the right-hand turn for an office complex for Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. It was removed when the on-ramp from U.S. 221 expanded I-585 south to three lanes through to the city line. 01/18/04

An older set of shields posted at the I-585 transition to Pine Street with an incorrect East banner for S.C. 9 south. Pine Street doubled as Business Spur I-585, an unsigned route now, through to Main Street (former U.S. 29). 12/08/99

Reassurance shields for Interstate 585, U.S. 176 and S.C. 9 that were posted along Pine Street north at Cleveland Street. The set was replaced by 2001 and removed sometime afterwards. 12/08/99

Four lanes of Interstate 585 & U.S. 176 passed under Church Street by this set of reassurance shields. The 1958-built overpass was reconstructed in 2015 to bring it up to Interstate standard height. This shield assembly was removed during the project. 06/01/07
