This ground level sign for Walker Chapel Road was replaced with the addition of a new sign bridge for Interstate 22 in 2016. 11/07/11

Exit 266 for U.S. 31 at Fultondale was renumbered to Exit 265 when it was reconfigured to depart from a c/d roadway for I-22. 11/07/11

This sign bridge at Exit 260 remained in use until August 2003. Signs for Interstate 65 south and Exit 259B (4th Avenue South) were retained on the replacement assembly. A Norfolk Southern Railroad line separates the North and South addressing system for the Birmingham street grid. The line doubles with AMTRAK service and a passenger station is located between 18th and 19th Streets North by Downtown. 08/10/02
