Spaulding Turnpike
Sign changes made between 2005 and 2007 removed River Road from Exit 4 guide signs. River Road was renamed to Shattuck Way by Exit 4 when a new road was built southeast to Piscataqua Drive. An older alignment of the road remains as River Road nearby. 06/27/05
A small diagrammatic sign precedes the parclo interchange (Exits 6N/W) with U.S. 4 west and Dover Point Road north beyond the on-ramp from Hilton Drive. 06/27/05
This ground level sign for Exit 6N was replaced when a new sign bridge was installed here by 2007. Dover Point Road leads north from the Spaulding Turnpike through Dover. 06/27/05
This ground level sign for Exit 6W was also removed when the new sign bridge went up at Exit 6N. U.S. 4 joins the Seacoast with Concord to the west. 06/27/05
New Hampshire 16 immediately enters the Dover Main Toll Plaza beyond Exit 6 with U.S. 4 west. This toll schedule sign posted at the Exit 6W loop ramp was removed by 2007. 06/27/05
All ground level signs for the Spaulding Turnpike were replaced during the 2008-12 widening of the super-two freeway around Rochester. 07/29/07

A compact parclo interchange joined the Spaulding Turnpike with U.S. 202 west and Washington Street east at Exit 13 originally. 07/29/07
The loop ramp that brought U.S. 202 east onto NH 16 north was replaced as Exit 13 was reconfigured into a diamond interchange. 07/29/07
Heavy traffic oozed southward along the super-two version of the Spaulding Turnpike as NH 11 east combined with U.S. 202 east & NH 16 north across the Cochecho River. 07/29/07
Exit 16 departed in one half mile for the original Spaulding Turnpike end at New Hampshire 125 (Milton Road). U.S. 202 & NH 11 east take this spur away from NH 16. 07/29/07

The northward extension of the Spaulding Turnpike completed in 1981 included the construction of the parclo interchange at Exit 16 and access road west to Chestnut Hill Road. 07/29/07
The Spaulding Turnpike now carries four overall lanes to a point just north of the on-ramp from Exit 16. U.S. 202 & NH 11 otherwise split and remain overlapped to Sanford, Maine. 07/29/07
Leaving the Rochester area, New Hampshire 16 (Spaulding Turnpike) approaches the Milton town line. This reassurance sign was replaced with an overhead during 2008-12 widening. 07/29/07
