Spaulding Turnpike


Heavy traffic oozed southward along the super-two version of the Spaulding Turnpike as NH 11 east combined with U.S. 202 east & NH 16 north across the Cochecho River. 07/29/07

Exit 16 departed in one half mile for the original Spaulding Turnpike end at New Hampshire 125 (Milton Road). U.S. 202 & NH 11 east take this spur away from NH 16. 07/29/07

The northward extension of the Spaulding Turnpike completed in 1981 included the construction of the parclo interchange at Exit 16 and access road west to Chestnut Hill Road. 07/29/07

The Spaulding Turnpike now carries four overall lanes to a point just north of the on-ramp from Exit 16. U.S. 202 & NH 11 otherwise split and remain overlapped to Sanford, Maine. 07/29/07

Leaving the Rochester area, New Hampshire 16 (Spaulding Turnpike) approaches the Milton town line. This reassurance sign was replaced with an overhead during 2008-12 widening. 07/29/07

Northbound New Hampshire 16 (Spaulding Turnpike) at the off-ramp (Exit 17) for New Hampshire 75 east to Milton and west to Farmington. This sign was also replaced. 07/29/07
