I haven't looked at this in a while - but clinched California 144 back in January. That puts me up to 176, but I'm planning to clinch Utah 176 this coming January.

I'm planning to clinch Utah 176 this coming January.

It currently consists of a short bridge over some train tracks and the approaches to it. You will be underwhelmed.

As for my 46 response, that is still the case and probably will remain so for quite some time. But after that, the only remaining 2-digit number I lack is 57 (plus 47 if you don’t count traveling on the since-deleted section of NM 47). I’ll hopefully clinch Utah 57 within the year...after which my next untraveled number will be 146.

Got my name wrong  :pan: :-D

Otherwise thanks!
Heh.  Odd typo there. Evidently, FrCorySticha put Corey on my mind. :D

I got NJ 47 by clinching US 40 and US 322 in New Jersey on Saturday.  My number is up to 89 now.

Pretty sure my lowest is 8. I haven't been on VA 8. I haven't been on VA 4 either, but I have been on MD 4.

For me, I think the answer is 19...  Most are covered by routes inside my home state of Connecticut, but some I did have to go out of state for.

1:  US-1
2:  CT-2
3:  CT-3, US-3
4:  CT-4, I-4
5:  US-5
6:  US-6 (have always lived within 2 miles of it)
7:  US-7
8:  CT-8
9:  CT-9
10:  CT-10
11:  CT-11
12:  CT-12
13:  US-13
14:  CT-14
15:  CT-15
16:  CT-16
17:  CT-17
18:  NH-18

As for 19, it seems to either be non-existant or short little out of the way stubs in all the states near me, and I can't think of a route 19 I've been on outside my area, either.

Going on a road trip to pick up a new car, and just wanted to see how many new numbers might be on the trip. Obviously I'll not try to drive every single new number I see, but I think I can get my number from 106 to 203.

106 - VA
108 - AR
111 - FL
132 - VA
136 - PA
137 - NE
140 - AL
146 - MD
147 - AL
151 - IA
153 - WY
156 - VA
174 - MD
178 - MD
179 - MD
188 - PA
192 - VA
193 - OH
198 - MS
199 - AL

For those wondering, my general route is going down to Lubbock, cutting across to Georgia via Dallas, Texarkana, Monroe, Jackson, Montgomery, Auburn, Columbus and then heading down I-75 to Tampa.  (Visiting my parents in Florida is also part of this equation).

Coming back, going up to Delaware mostly via I-95, I-64, and US13, then finishing off clinching I-70 and I-68 before heading up towards Cleveland to come back on the toll roads.  Then finally clinching Iowa's interstates with I-380, cutting across on US20 across northern Nebraaska, coming into extreme eastern Wyoming, and back home.

Finalizing the route today, but I have to think I'll be adding something like 2000 miles of new roads and upwards of 100 new counties.

Chris

Just finished the road trip last night.  My new number is 203.  I had to change my routing home to avoid some weather.  Ended up nabbing a couple numbers I was missing in Illinois and Kansas. While clinching KS-137, my car actually got attacked by a couple of dogs that kept barking and lunging at my front tires.  I was afraid I'd run them over or hurt them, so I drove the .18 miles back from the end to KS20 at about 3 mph.  :)

Looks like the closest 203 is in the panhandle of Texas, not exactly my favorite place to drive through.  So it might be a while before I can add to my number.

Quite belatedly updated...interesting that there's that big space between 203 and 245...

And things seem to get easier after you break through that 102 wall...

I haven't been on SR 6 in WA, so I guess that's my cutoff.

I hate to nitpick, but the list shows a misspelling for "sbeaver44".

And unfortunately, it won't be super easy for me to close that gap. Between those, I'm missing 203, 204, 211, 213, 216, 222, 226, 232, 236, and 237.  None of which are in Colorado.

Utah, New Mexico, and Wyoming have all of those at least.  Just not too many appear to be too close to the Colorado border (213, 216, and 222 in Wyoming are only a few hours away).

This is a very interesting thread! I'll throw my hat in the ring!
The number is 6:

3: FL-3, PA-3, MD-3
4: I-4, MD-4, NC-4

US 3/I-2?

There's no way I can start punching out state routes...

This is about any numbered route.  If you've been on any route 2, then the lowest is 3.  If you've been on a 3, then 4...

Need one number. :)

Yeah, but with my memory? (smh) (shrug)
Give me awhile, I may be able to cobble together a list...

Looks like number 48 for me as the lowest-numbered route. Next lowest-number route would be up to 107.

I drove on a section of US 48 in West Virginia today! The next number that I haven't been on is still 107.

107 is what I've been stuck on for a while. There's a 107 and 108 near each other in far NW Ohio but I haven't gotten around to getting over there yet.
Indiana: counties 100%, highways 100%
Illinois: counties 100%, highways 61%
Michigan: counties 100%, highways 56%
Wisconsin: counties 86%, highways 23%
