Parks / National Parks as controls?

I was wondering, is there anywhere an instance of a freeway or expressway using a National, State or city park as a "control city"?
I'm never wrong, just wildly inaccurate.

A two-for, also in Fresno:

Fresno markets itself as a national park destination (because they've got little else), but the parks are the major destinations in these cases. 180 ends in the park.

Edit: Thought I'd throw the BGS in Visalia out as well. And this one actually says "Park":

198 near Lemoore has a 78 mile control marker for Sequoia National Park on the eastbound lanes in addition to what was already said about Visalia.  I'm pretty sure that Petried Forest National Park is on I-40 somewhere.

Anyways here is what I was referring too on 198:

There's a sign for Niagara Falls State Park on the ramp from I-190 northbound to the Robert Moses (Niagara Scenic) Parkway.

On Long Island, a number of the parkways do.  The Meadowbrook Parkway and the Wantagh Parkway have their southern terminus at Jones Beach State Park.  The Robert Moses Causeway has its southern terminus at Robert Moses State Park.  The Southern Parkway has its eastern terminus at Heckscher State Park.  The Sunken Meadow Parkway has its northern terminus at Sunken Meadow State Park, although they've recently changed the control city to Kings Park (which is a town, not a park).

Where is this a control city (as opposed to merely a signed destination)?

I like the button copy BGS in the background with the scraped-off 180 shield.

Also on the subject of NY parkways, Sound View Park as the southbound control point for the Bronx River Parkway:

If you always take the same road, you will never see anything new.

Delaware Water Gap.

I'm going to take a wild guess that a control sign 34 miles away on I-80 in NJ is referring to the National Recreation Area and not a 750 resident borough in PA.

NE2

Really? It's not referring to the actual geologic formation?

Most of the formation is in a National Recreation Area  since 1965 or so. So i guess originally it was just the geological formation at first.. But Rec area is a big draw now

I always assumed that "Delaware Water Gap" referred to the overall region; the tourist area that has developed around there. Like "Poconos" further down on I-80. It seemed like, when I was up there, people used the term to refer to the region. Obviously I haven't spent much time up there though, so my assumption could certainly be wrong.

25 miles to DWG just west of mile 24.5. The gap itself begins at Columbia (20-21 miles) and the NWR begins at about mile 3 (21-22 miles). The state line is, of course, 24.5 miles away, and it's another half mile to the exit for the borough. Voila, the control city is the borough.

I'm guessing Delaware Water Gap is used because of the toll barrier there.

I wasn't really meaning theme parks, mostly state and national parks

More an expressway than a freeway, but it has its moments, IN-49 from eastbound I-94:

But it only appears the once, and only eastbound.

I forget about that one.

That's also a two-fer!  National AND state parks on one sign!

How about, instead of a BGS, a BBS (not talking about what we used to call with our modems)? You'll have to click into Street View since my iPhone won't give me a Street View link.
