Mainly in the upper 60s today. It was down pouring rain throughout most of the day. Currently Boston is at its 7th wettest summer on record.

The high here has been 100 degrees or greater for the past 28 days and for 47 out of the past 48. Luckily, I've only been in town for the past two weeks.

I'm weary of another disastrous hitting Florida, when we just got done dealing with one not long ago.
Every day is a winding road, you just got to get used to it.

72 and cloudy (with some scattered mist) today. Not quite enough to douse the wildfires, sadly.

I'm in Asheville right now and it's 60s and rain all day.

According to my PC, 80 and mostly cloudy, but we have a hurricane warning due to Hurricane Idalia. Sadly, some of the signs I wanted pictures of from the Big Bend may not be around after tomorrow, and there are some other sites I'm worried about as well.

I used to know a Circle K clerk named Idalia. I'll bet she's going to hate this.

Cooled off nicely and raining!  A nice day to bake cookies.

Typhoon Haikui is going to at least brush Okinawa, if not downright hit it, in the next couple days. Not sure exactly how much rain we will get, but it's a firm typhoon/hurricane, so it'll be decently serious.

The military bases have entered a TCCOR level of 3; 4 is normal, so there is some expectation of windy and rainy conditions...at least more-so than we normally endure.

On the map below, Okinawa is the big island south of the "9PM, 01 Sep." label.

Labor Day weekend at Lake Tahoe opens with a current temperature of 47°F and rain since early afternoon, getting close to a total of about 3/4 inch of rain over at the airport.  It looks chilly with rain showers at lake level through Sunday, and there may well be at least a light snowfall on some of the local peaks over 9000'.
