Incorrect highways marked on Google Maps

Should we just consider it common sense now that Google Maps doesn't seem to like labeling freeway segments on State or US highways with the orange color anymore?

NJ 18: http://goo.gl/maps/OnTbR
US 202 in NJ: http://goo.gl/maps/WEZke
US 209 in PA: http://goo.gl/maps/mSmhg
US 222 Kutztown Bypass: http://goo.gl/maps/xJwqN

There's countless other examples, personally I think Google Maps should give every member of this forum some rights to edit the maps and approve the edit all in one step

But then we'd have things like I-366 in VA, with a bit of preferential routing because of its 85 MPH speed limit.
Wait, it's all Ohio? Always has been.

This thread would die if we weren't allowed to post the latest in Google's mass-demotion of short, disconnected freeways.

Mileage-based exit numbering implies the existence of mileage-cringe exit numbering.

Here are some screw-ups that I have noticed recently with Google Maps:

- The proposed I-66 has been posted on Google Maps in KY: http://goo.gl/maps/w71Jv, http://goo.gl/maps/DU08f, http://goo.gl/maps/J8fvX, and http://goo.gl/maps/TH51W
- The Audubon Pkwy between Henderson, KY and Owensboro, KY is now I-369: http://goo.gl/maps/gzFmw
- I-310 and I-510 have been decommissioned and turned to arterials in New Orleans: http://goo.gl/maps/W2TVJ and http://goo.gl/maps/d1kJZ

And the fun thing about that one is that it still might not become I-369, and instead might become another I-X69.  That number isn't even set in stone yet.

Looks like I-6 exists in Maine now...

I, and I am sure many others, reported this to Google back when it was first noticed.  I got a message today saying it's not going to be fixed soon because:

Autopista ~[0x01]55?

The tilde is logic shorthand for not.  So Google Maps is just letting you know that the highway is not numbered [0x01]55–which is correct.

...thus, it's really a limited-unlimited-access freeway in Alanland.

If posting errors from outside the US is allowed, then Google must erase the A-23 designation from Spanish A-22 now: https://maps.google.es/maps?ll=41.999305,-0.041885&spn=0.284738,0.617294&t=m&z=11

Please note that I may mention "invalid" FM channels, i.e. ending in an even number or down to 87.5. These are valid in Europe.

Looks like I-70 found its way into NC http://goo.gl/maps/HzjiF

It seems to appear randomly along US-70 in NC. And at first glance the I-74 and US-74 thing looks like an error.

I-510 near New Orleans is drawn in yellow :banghead:: http://goo.gl/maps/5XKVY

Edit: WTF??? I've found I-70 in OK and TX too!

And Arkansas
Interstates I've clinched: 97, 290 (MA), 291 (CT), 291 (MA), 293, 295 (DE-NJ-PA), 295 (RI-MA), 384, 391, 395 (CT-MA), 395 (MD), 495 (DE), 610 (LA), 684, 691, 695 (MD), 695 (NY), 795 (MD)

There seem to be an issue about Google's standards on what is a freeway a what is not.

Moderators and Google Reviewers keep contributors from giving short freeways and freeway sections of typically non-freeway road their right classification.

Autoroute Dufferin-Montmorency (A-440 and A-40) in Québec City has one intersection, though it is not even marked as an expressway, but a "primary route" despite being a freeway on the rest of its course. Some Google Reviewer locked it after an edit war and the route is no longer editable.

Autoroute Papineau (A-19) freeway section in Laval has an edit war also undergoing, as it is not marked as a freeway.

Short A-730, A-930 (south shore Montréal) and A-85 (eastern Québec) freeways have been recently marked as freeway, although I would not be surprised that some moderator would rank them down in short term.

vdeane

And much of QC 185 has also been marked as a freeway despite being two lane road.  At least it's not an inverse of what it's supposed to be now.

I love how they think that a bridge is a tunnel. #FAIL
I think they actually forgot to change those bridges from proposed.

And just to the south, check out exit 30.

Most likely because it was several S-40-* routes.
