The 110 degrees in McAllen fell just a few degrees short of Texas' (and the country's) all-time April record of 113 degrees.  But a really strong cold front tonight will drop our temperatures down to more seasonal conditions for South Texas.
We're so far south that we're not even considered "The South"

Right now, light haze and 64 degrees.  First really warm day of the year.  Predicted to break 70 this afternoon (and be back to overcast and chilly tomorrow).

It broke 70 and then some up in the North Sound. Not loving this, reminds me of that one near-80 day a few years ago in April where the ACs on buses stopped working.

SE Texas is currently in a Pollenpocalypse. Oak tree pollen counts are up to 10,000 grains per cubic meter (for comparison, the highest that we usually get is 3,000-5,000; it's enough to drive my allergies mad, even though I'm rarely affected by them). I've seen theories that this is the oak tree's natural response to really cold snaps like what we had last year. What's crazier is that the wind has been pretty strong as of late, meaning that there's a light haze of pollen and dust in the area. Cloudy with a chance of pollen sounds really gross. Oh, and there's a Red Flag Warning, which I don't think I've seen before in the Houston area. Other than that, it's been pretty nice and sunny.

Right now it's just over freezing temps (2C), and clouds can't decide if they wanna be rain clouds or snow clouds, resulting in the worst kind of slush on the roads.

I'm looking outside my bedroom window close to 5 PM MDT and it's just flat goofy. Most of Western Montana and Northern Idaho are experiencing gusty winds between 40 to 60 MPH sustained average and unseasonably lower temperatures for early to mid April. It's 34 and overcast with on and off flurries. A Hind Wind Warning and Winter Storm Warning have been issued for much of Western Montana and Northern Idaho through Tuesday. Very unusual winter weather for this time of year in Western Montana for sure.

Lots of potential for severe weather the next few days. Tonight I'm in the slight category of the SPC's severe T-Storm forecast. Tomorrow I'll be in the marginal category, then Tuesday & Wednesday I'll be in the slight category.. again.

To cap off a weird weather week in the Northwest: light snow and heavy rain in much of the area north of Seattle.

And still more of the same conditions as it's been the last few weeks: highs in the upper 90s to 100+ degrees with isolated thunderstorms possible.

Very nice day today, bright blue skies with no wind, currently 13C (56F) and a high of 17C (62F). Tomorrow could reach 21C (70F), but there's expected rain and maybe even a thunderstorm.

It was 40F and a windy bluster this morning.  The wind wasn't so bad when it was 60F out but running into this morning sucked.  I cashed in the five extra miles I ran on Sunday (due to the forecast being poor for Monday/Tuesday) and called it a day at five.

It's currently 41°F with a mix of sun and clouds.  A couple of hours ago, it was briefly sleeting, but I don't think the air temp was near freezing.
