7/8

A thunderstorm rolled in about 15 minutes ago is bringing a short burst of heavy rain. Funny thing is I checked about an hour ago and it said no rain (it was supposed to pass a bit north through Waterloo). :-D

Temperature has dropped to 19C (67F), but is forecasted to go back up to 24C (75F) later this afternoon.

My wife reports "It is so humid in my office the ceiling is literally dripping."

It was so humid the other day here in Okinawa, the AC blowing out of my vents was visible. I've not had that happen before.

Yes, I turned the temperate up after it happened.

For the first time since July 23th, the forecast high will be below 99℉ today. However, on Thursday, it'll be back to 106℉.
I'm an Engineer. That means I solve problems. Not problems like "What is beauty?", because that would fall within the purview of your conundrums of philosophy. I solve practical problems and call them "paychecks".

89 today, 91 tomorrow. Heat wave is here.

Some areas in the foothills are expecting highs in the upper 90s.

76 and not a cloud in the sky. Glorious August day.

Humidity is still quite polarizing between the coast and border.  Dew Points along the western border are in the upper 60, while the barrier islands are in the 80s, and 70s in the middle.  And we're still looking for our first rainfall of this month; while the moisture from the gulf keeps flowing in, the high pressure over the western Gulf coast is blocking any other air mass from mixing with it, which means no thunderstorm development and mostly sunny skies.  Very tough for farmers here.  But this week could change as the High is moving more east allowing for the possibility of a dryline to pass through.

The heat wave continues. High of 92, low of 58. There will finally be a big drop into the 70s on Friday but then we'll get a double whammy of more heat and wildfire smoke over the weekend.

You had it slightly "better," so to speak, than us. We were in the triple digits.

South sound was triple digits as well, I think Olympia and Shelton both broke 100.

North sound is always cold, even in heatwaves  :-D

Having more water helps. Everett was a few degrees cooler than the more inland areas of the county.
