I can't imagine that went well.

High 70s, clear skies, a big muggy. Summer is not winding down as fast as it should.

I don't think summer is over just yet, normally summer in WA goes through early October?

Summer dissipates by then, but temperatures that go over 80 really don't belong in mid-September.

Ahh, this might be another north/south sound difference. 80s in September down south wasn't unusual.

I distinctly remember because I used to live in Downtown Puyallup, and would frequent the fair throughout September. Days in the 80s were not unusual, I even remember some 90s.

Brrrrr..... so c-c-c-cold outside this morning. It's 72°F outside this morning, and it's going to be 64°F by Saturday.  :-D

Well, the streak of 100-degree days is about to end:

I suppose I should consider my self lucky, though. Phoenix has had a high over 110 for more than 54 days this year, so far.

Not a lot has changed here....we are still looking at more of the same conditions as we've seen all summer long.  Although the Gulf moisture loads have decreased considerably resulting in mostly lower dew points and heat index....surprising considering this is the peak of tropical season and that September is typically our wettest month.

I read that on the NOAA that Phoenix did have a record summer temperatures all season; they average only around 13 days of 110s degrees per year.

Yeah, it was fun to hear on the news that Manhattan, KS, was hotter than Arizona.

Tomorrow is the last day of summer and we're still seeing more of the same conditions as we have been seeing.  Temperatures still running a good five to ten degrees above average for September.

Dew points have been on the rise again this past weekend keeping the Heat Index keeps hanging around in the 110's range; last week's heat index in parts of Brooks and Wells counties approached 120 degrees and that might still be possible again this week.
