I actually crossed MA 28 on foot while visiting Boston last month, but I didn't realize it!  I walked down the Boston Commons path adjacent to the roadway, but I didn't actually walk on the roadway or its sidewalk.

So, unfortunately, I'm still stuck at 28.  I'll probably stay there for a long while.

Another update! My number went up from 32 to 38 earlier today.

Upon some re-review of a 2016 bus trip I took in the DC area, it turns out I did clinch a tiny portion of US 29 (where it serves as a frontage road to I-66 near Rosslyn).

My new number is 32. Once that is taken care of, I'll be able to jump up to 45.

A drive through northwestern Connecticut about 2 weeks ago resulted in a successful opportunity to knock off a segment CT-126, so my new target is 148.

Condensed version:

After taking a long-weekend road trip into Virginia, West Virginia, and Ohio, my Lowest Number route has changed from 266 to 303.  So I am now in the "300 Club".

Assuming Rothman's standings are up to date, increasing my number 37 places moves me from 14th overall to ... 14th overall.  Bah.  Guess I'm in a sparse part of the list.

The Gory Details:

I was stuck on 266 for a while since the nearest one to me was about 350 miles away in Ohio.  (Darn them for cancelling I-266 in D.C.).  While I was out that way, I also picked up 269 and 284.  Also got 310, 323, and 367 for future consideration.

The next one I need - 303 - is available on Maryland's Eastern Shore, along with a few others I need clustered together.  Maybe after the summer holidays are over, I may trek out that way and grab them.

The next "trouble maker" may be 319.  There is a tiny VA 319 near Petersburg, or I might try to get US 319 on my December trip to Florida.  (I may have been on US 319 around age 7, but I am not 100% sure, so I won't count that).

My most recent trip included OH323 and NY362, two numbers that I was previously missing.  I have no immediate plans to move up the list, but you never know when opportunity will strike.
