On October 13, I was on VA-229, VA-230, and VA-231. That is the most amount of consecutive route numbers I have been on in a single day, 3.

What is your most consecutive route numbers that you have been on in one day?

I don't keep track of individual days that much. I may have been on MA 127, 128, and 129 in one day, but I don't know.
Clinched, plus MA 286

I have absolutely no idea, but it wouldn't surprise me if the answer came from a 1984 trip to Quebec. I've noticed that the provincial route numbers tend to be clustered together more than is common on much of the US East Coast (example: I'm looking at Google Maps right now and in the area east of Montreal and north of Autoroute 10, you can see, in order from west to east, Routes 227, 229, 231, 233, and 235, although it doesn't look like any of the equivalent even numbers cross them). I cannot recall all the individual routes we took on that trip, though.

I think my largest amount is 8. In Prince Edward Island, I was on PE351-PE358 all in one day.

For the US:

Pretty sure I've been on US85, CO86, US87, and CO88 in one day. Especially easy since US85 and US87 are concurrent on I-25.

I've also been on what will be I-69, I-70, I-71, and I-72 in one day. This is once I-69 is officially on I-465 around Indy.

I've been on I-A1, I-A2, I-A3, and I-A4 within 24 hours.

On trip to New England in the '90s, I believe I was on US routes 1,2,3,4,5,6, and 7 all in one day.

Yes, I finangled things a bit to make that happen. I eventually wound up somewhere between Bangor and Houlton ME.

Ohio state highways tend to come in clusters with several consecutive numbers. At first, I looked around southwestern Ohio, where I drove on OH-136, OH-137, and OH-138 in the same day.  But my trip to northeast Ohio in October 2022 probably takes the cake.  I drove on OH-85, 86, 87, 88, and 89 all in one day, plus I-90 and OH-91.  The jagged, chaotic routes I take in order to grab one photo for each route give way to touching a lot of different routes in one day--this might be maddening to the clincher, who wants to stay on the same route for a long time!  So far I have 7 in a row.  Who knows, maybe I'll find a longer chain of numbers (Illinois has a tendency to have clusters of consecutively-numbered routes, too).

OH 126, US 127, OH 128 and OH 129 (4 consecutive routes) in the Cincinnati area. Could've picked up OH 130 as well (intersected it, but didn't go on it).

Thanks to the cluster of routes in the 120s and low 130s in the Cincy area, I could theoretically get 10 consecutive routes if I went out specifically to drive on those routes.

Not consecutive... but I've used I-190, I-290, I-390, I-490, and I-590 in a single day more times than I can count.

I drove on MN 55, MN 56, MN 57, and MN 58 on May 21, 2022. I drove on I-94, MN 95, MN 96, and MN 97 on August 18, 2022. I can't imagine I've been on more than four consecutively numbered highways in a single day.

I believe the ask is about consecutively numbered highways, not consecutively numbered highways traveled consecutively.

Off the top of my head, most likely US 1, VA 2, and VA 3.

EDIT: For some reason I added "in the same state" to the thread title when I was thinking about this. So you can actually put me down for US 1, VA 2, VA 3, MD 4, VA 5 (and MD 5, actually), and VA 6 in the same day during a trip to the DC area one day. Sadly I wasn't on VA 7.

On one day:

VA 647 through VA 654 (8)

If I include VA Secondary routes to my list, my number will likely be higher than 3. I'll search through my VA Camera Roll later to see if I have a higher combination.

Due to the lack of clumping in Colorado, probably 3 (US 85, CO 86, US 87)

I can confirm two runs of three: I-41, WI-42, I-43, and US-63, WI-64, WI-65. I might have a third, very backdoor one - FL-93, I-94, I-95, with a flight in between - but I'm not positive.

Just taking the time to exit I-41 twice would have bumped the former up to 5, via WI-44 and US-45. But that was four years ago and obviously it never crossed my mind.

I have a streak of 5 with high numbers for American standards: A-1229, A-1230, A-1231, A-1232 and A-1233. It helps when they are all clusterized :sombrero:.

It is possible, in the MD suburbs north and west of DC to drive on all of MD 185 through 193. I have probably done some combinations of these, but not consciously.

Yes, and my travels on that set of I-x90's have never occurred in strictly numerical order anyways, I just decided to mention it since it seemed noteworthy and I couldn't think of any good answers to the original prompt. NY 250 through NY 253 would be my best shot at 4 in a row, and there's a non-zero chance I've done it but I'm far from certain.

Washington's system makes clusters very easy to get at once. I've done SR 524 + SR 525 + SR 526 + SR 527 + SR 528 + SR 529 more than a few times in a single day while just running errands or deliveries.

7/8

I have several three's, though surprisingly I haven't found one in the US yet.
Andorra CG1, CG2, and CG3
Iceland 35, 36, and 37
Ireland R755, R756, and R757 (I also did R759 on the same day, too bad I missed R758)
Ontario 6, 7, and 8

I haven't found a definitive four yet:
Possible 4: Ontario 5, 6, 7*, and 8 (* not 100% sure if I've driven Highway 7 on the same day as the other three)
4 with caveat: Ontario 6, 7, 8, and 9* (* would count if the middle portion of Highway 9 wasn't downloaded in the late 90's, darn you Mike Harris)

I know I've done MD 187 through 193 in one day, probably also including 185. Hadn't thought to add 186 to the mix. Have also done MD 117-119.

NWI_Irish96

Not having tracked this, I know I've been on IN 13-14-15 on the same day. Probably did a combo of 4 at some point, but don't specifically remember it.

If I really wanted to, I could easily do US 12, IN 13-14-15-16-17-18-19 and US 20 in the same day.
