The Cincinnati area is loaded with old traffic lights. Here are some of the ones we found in the city (special thanks to jjakucyk for the locations of the one-piece four-ways!).

Always nice to see those CH decos.  Aside from the ones I've found in Norwood, there's also a handful remaining within the Cincinnati city limits too, but all with tunnel visors and newer lenses.

*Gasp*  Span wires in Illinois?!?  *Faints*

Those truss arms are great, and there's still plenty around.  It is harder and harder to find ones with the original signal though.  I actually like some of the newer replacements, where they get mounted higher than the original ones that were clamped around the red light.  Still, more often than not they mount the new signal too far to the right, leaving the end of the truss sticking out.  Bonus suck points if they left some of the old mounting hardware in the ends of the truss.

There's just about everything you can imagine at Dundee and Pfingsten in Northbrook.  There's an intact original signal, an original signal that somehow lost its backplate, a good replacement signal, and a nasty looking replacement mounted way too far to the side.

The trusses still appear to be all over Lake Cook, Dundee, Waukegan, and Willow Roads, among others.

One of my signals is from Seattle and had one of those signs attatched to the bottom. But the thing is, it wasn't a light up sign, it was a normal one.
Here are photos of them:

Here is also another old signal I want to share with you. Morton Township, PA:

On a recent trip to Alabama on 11/28/09, I took some pictures of some old traffic signals located in downtown Demopolis:

A one piece traffic signal at the intersection of N. Strawberry Street and E. Washington Street in Demopolis.

A closer look at the traffic signal...

A pair of old one piece traffic signals at the intersection of S. Walnut Avenue and Jackson Street, just south of downtown.

A closer look at one of the signals at this intersection. The visors are black (either painted or replacements for the original visors) while the rest of the signal is in its original color.

Here's an oddball one for Illinois.  It's not a very common setup in the state (early 1970s).  :colorful:

About this signal mounted within the right-turn ramp; What does that sign say?

That's merely one of the standard fold-up stop signs which are unfolded should there be a power failure. Sometimes there'll be a safety advisory on the inside. ("Please buckle up" or something to that effect are what I remember on the ones I've seen the last time I passed through Illinois.)

That 2nd NJ signal is similar to some I've seen in Oklahoma

If you didn't say that was in New Jersey, I'd have sworn that photograph was taken in Wisconsin.

(Note: proper etiquette is to snip the photo from replies.)
For me, it was an instant Jersey photo.  Show us some more from Wisconsin.
