Hello all,
Stumbled upon this website quite by accident. Short story about me- Maryland/Wash. D.C. area native now transplanted in Southern California. Been a road geek all my life. As a kid, while most of my friends were into comic books, Dungeons & Dragons and stuff like that, I was building model cars, building model bridges and skyscrapers with the old girder and panel kits (anyone remember those?), drawing pictures of cities and freeways, etc. For me, half the fun of taking a family vacation was checking out the freeways we traveled, the various interchanges, signs and views that the road had to offer.
I admit part of what drew me out to Southern CA, besides the beaches and weather, is the car/driving/freeway culture. Anyway, good to be here and hope to engage in some interesting conversations.
