East Central Missouri may get tornadoes.. Right now it is mostly sunny, hot, and the local radar is broken.

9:20 PM and it feels like 91°. No breeze, air is just still and heavy.

Scattered Thunderstorms and lows in the 70s tonight. Most of the much needed rain is an hour north of here, but is moving to the southeast.

It's always winter in my air-conditioned bedroom :-D

It's been quite hot in Salt Lake for most of the past week, with highs at least in the mid 90s most days. Last Friday was the hottest day of the year so far, with a high of 102. We also haven't had anything in the way of rain lately, which explains why our wildfire season hasn't been good this year. Seems like a new one has started every day in the past two weeks.

The good news is it looks like the first real monsoon event of the year is coming this week. Unfortunately, this means dry thunderstorms with lightning and wind will be a possibility tomorrow and maybe Wednesday, which won't be good for fire weather. By Wednesday/Thursday, there should be enough moisture for more of a heavy rain threat.

For the next week, the forecast in Houston is basically copy and paste; High 80s/Low 90s with a 60% chance for thunderstorms.

This is because of the two tropical disturbances we'll get this week. We need rain, so I'm fine with it.

Siked Psyched for some hot weather in the PNW next week. We got a Heat Advisory going for some lower to mid 90s early part of next week.

My girlfriend and I are going to seek out a river up in the mountains to relax next to. Hopefully won't get hypothermia from the snowmelt :-D

To anyone in the PNW: now might be a good time to buy an A/C unit.

Hot weekend ahead with low-mid 90s and heat indices between 95 and 105. Cool off next week and lost a bit of humidity as well

Update: we are going out to Forks to find a beach and/or lake. Puget Sound beaches will be too busy. Plenty of people taking a three-day weekend, I'm sure.

Another update: my room is actually a bit parky right now. It was 85 outside earlier. Thank heaven for air conditioning :-D.
