There are several signs for SR 399 where you turn off US 98 towards Pensacola Bch, but on is a TOLL CR 399 sign Another is a concurrency US 98/SR 399 assembly. This signage is confusing, inconsistent, and doesn't really make sense. I got pics, will post later.

https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ll=30.357694,-87.164229&spn=0.000019,0.012521&t=h&z=17&layer=c&cbll=30.357724,-87.164332&panoid=ZmTcW8fJHEGQyzpSQZi1UA&cbp=12,136.67,,0,0 move towards the intersection to see the others. Also, when heading up FL 87, I was surprised to see CR 399 turn left on Bay Rd. A quick check of GSV shows CR 399 signs for Bay Rd at US 98 also. The part on Bay Blvd does not show up on OSM. https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ll=30.399669,-87.000078&spn=0.000019,0.012521&t=h&z=17&layer=c&cbll=30.399653,-87.000172&panoid=TdVa6jaz7ECZ8jmkcXycVg&cbp=12,93.99,,0,0What the heck? is 399 some kind of loop? Is the part concurrent with US 98 still a state hwy?

Also, at this intersection , all signs are gone except for the TO I-10

The speed limit on the eastern part of the barrier island, west of the developed part is now very low (15, I think in places) there are several rubber speed humps, signs say it's to protect birds. It was 35 west of there.

I accept and respect your identity as long as it's not dumb shit like "identifying as a vaccinated attack helicopter".

There are multiple segments of County Road 399 in Santa Rosa County. East Bay Boulevard is just a separate segment from the Navarre Beach segment and those in the northern tier of the county. It is only signed at the end points however.

The signage in Gulf Breeze is correct in that FL 399 exists at the interchange (as NE2 also stated). FWIW, that overhead was changed to Toll CR 399 in 2000 but restored to SR 399 by 2006.

The signs at the end of the Navarre Beach Causeway may be gone because of a long-term resurfacing of US 98 that started this month. That includes sign replacement and a number of drainage improvements and ditch realignments. Details at https://www.facebook.com/pages/US98NavarreParkway/589840274379735

The low speed limit and temporary speed limits on the beach road (J. Earle Bowden Way) are implemented during times of shorebird nesting.

Edited the facebook link.

A closer inspection of my photo shows skidmarks, so I guess they might have been knocked down and not replaced yet.
