2 bridges demolished east of Tucson

QuoteThe Arizona Department of Transportation has knocked down two bridges on Interstate 10 east of Tucson.

The two bridges were demolished in about 10 hours beginning Friday. I-10 was reopened by Saturday morning.

The Marsh Station Interchange, which was completed in December, replaces one of the demolished bridges. By the end of the year, a new bridge is expected to replace the other demolished structure, the Mescal/J-Six Bridge, which recently was the site of a fire when two semitrucks collided.
