Atlanta has officially reached 81 degrees today. In addition to being a record by some distance (previously 72), it's also the earliest date we've ever reached 80 (previously Feb. 15, 1989).

Slightly warmer today, but the snow and ice from the last storm still remains (and is very slippery). Bus service is still at half of normal frequency. Residential streets are still not plowed.

The next snowstorm will hit tomorrow afternoon, just before rush hour. There's been a lot of panic buying at local supermarkets.

The snowstorm is well underway. 6" in most lowland areas around Seattle, though the city proper is shielded by a rain shadow. Even more expected tonight, followed by a second round on Monday.

EDIT: Unofficial snowfall totals from KING-TV. The outliers are out on the Olympic Peninsula.

Tacoma-South Hill has been getting stiffed all day, but finally seeing some major (heavy) accumulation since about 5:30. Few inches now, with the radar suggesting pretty consistent snow for a while. Finally below freezing too, so it shouldn't be going anywhere.

9" of snow dumped overnight here.

A few snow pictures from today in Seattle.

The last few pictures were taken aboard the Route 90 bus, which only shows up during snow events. A rare treat!

3 systems over the next 6 days for Chicago, 1st one is all snow with up to 2 inches, 2nd one is another ice/snow storm with several inches Monday night through Tuesday night, 3rd one could be an ice/snow on Friday

Hard to believe it was 80 degrees just three days ago. Very much back to reality today, as it's cloudy and 37 and not moving much from there.

Still snowing. Seattle has now broken its February record (20" so far), and saw almost its entire average snowfall come down overnight.

Snowing...like it has been for the past 14 hours. This storm put us above average for snow for the season, with weeks of winter still to go. Still waiting for the El Niño warmer, dryer winter we were told was coming...

Had our 2nd ice storm in less than a week, after almost a decade since our previous ice storm warning. Need some sort of a break with these systems

I made the mistake of bothering to shovel my driveway this morning before the wind picked up. Thanks to the wind, which has been gusting up to 35 MPH, it's now covered with snow again.

36 and cloudy. The grounds are very icy.

A mild 39 degrees after 4 inches of snow/sleet/freezing rain/rain from yesterday afternoon to this morning. At least the 'warmth' will get rid of the slush.

According to my weather app on my PC, it's 44 degrees F and partly cloudy.

I'm going to bed soon anyhow.

66 and partly cloudy in OKC.

Back to reality in a big way tomorrow-- highs not getting past 35, possible freezing rain in the morning on the northern side of the OKC metro.
