This same game was done years ago, as were a number of other related games.

Plus you take away GSV and it won't go anywhere as hardly anyone posts their photos online anymore.

It is funny to read back on some of the comments.  As much as the Texas biker's gets tiresome, there just doesn't seem to be other images for other systems.  Once we hit 1500, some other B-roads might come into play.

Ireland has local roads like crazy with high numbers, but not even sure if they are signed.
Austria has some L-roads that are in this range, but signage is hard to find.
Thailand has some high-numbered roads.  Kentucky and Louisiana are still in play.  Plenty of state-secondary and county roads out there but signage is elusive.

Anyone is free to post from the Texas bikers to move this thing along.  I found enough to get through 1500.

Hey, are you still keeping score?

HAH no.  I haven't been keeping score since like 600 iirc.  If it's just a couple people farming the Texas bikers' page, there isn't much of a point.  I think we can guess who's "winning" at this point haha

I wouldn't be able to review "scores" for a couple months.  The construction season eats up a lot of my time, and will continue to do so into November.

Do you think that, if I showed up to a roadmeet, I'd be burned at the stake for accidentally starting this flood of road photo challenges?   :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

I have been using my own collection for my contributions to this thread. Typically what I will do is look to find where an appropriate Kentucky route is located, then check to see if I have ever been there to have possibly taken a picture of it.

The next entry in this game is 1486. I think I took a picture of a KY 1486 sign on Thursday (I traveled to northern Kentucky for work and used the opportunity to clinch KY 17, which intersects 1486) but the photo is still in my camera. There have been more than a few instances where I could have posted a sign photo in this game but I hadn't transferred the pic out of my camera and then uploaded it to Facebook or Flickr.

I guess I could use KYTC's photolog and grab an image, but I prefer to use my own.

So, should we wait for you to load 1486?

BTW, this might explain why I have trouble searching for highway signs I feel confident you must have a picture of...

No, because it will probably be a few weeks. I still haven't gotten my pics of the Columbus meet weekend trip uploaded yet.

The bikers do not have 1487 so hopefully someone else has a picture.

They have one but it is in a different location than most of the others.  You can post this: https://jobusu.smugmug.com/Texas-Farm-to-Market-Roads/FM-Roads-1401-1600/IMG1801/725476887_LCQ9q-L.jpg

In 1492, Columbus sailed the ocean blue...

There are a few other highways out there with the number 1493, but I can't locate a picture of any of their shields.
