70 with godawful haze from several fires in Western Montana. Feels like fall, but the AQI (air quality index) is 170 for Unhealthy in the Missoula valley.

That weather sounds amazing!

I always associate the word 'blustery' with wet weather, either rain or snow.  For some reason, in my mind at least, the word doesn't fit with fair weather conditions.

I always associate the word 'blustery' with wet weather, either rain or snow.  For some reason, in my mind at least, the word doesn't fit with fair weather conditions.

I use it if winds are going to gust up to 30 mph, similar to breezy in my mind. But I def use it more when things are more unsettled with rain/snow.

Most of the posts here are about extreme highs, extreme lows, returns to normal after these extreme temperatures, or rain/storms/tornadoes. My posting recently has been a bit different, usually about drought or weather patterns over time (e.g. comparing webny99's weather with mine with a one-day offset), but it's still not "76 and sunny"-style.

I agree with this, but note the official moderator position that (paraphrasing) it's OK to post frequently, since it is answering the question asked.

Also, it's less egregious to post frequent updates when others are participating in the thread. If you're the only one that has posted to the thread for three or more days in a row, I think it's fair to conclude that another update could be saved for later, or if/when something out of the ordinary occurs.

I can tell fall is starting since the lows are getting much cooler. Today is a comfortable high of 19C/66F and partly cloudy, but the low will drop to a cool 9C/48F. That's nice for opening the window before bed to cool down the room. It looks like tomorrow and the weekend will be more summer-like weather with highs around 27-28C / 81-82 F, maybe the last-such weekend of the year? (we'll see).

Same here.  We had a couple of nice days a week ago, but it's back to being hot again.  Tomorrow's forecast high, in fact, is 100°F.  The mornings do seem to be just a bit cooler, though.  Some days, I'm able to leave the front door propped open at the office for the first couple of hours.

Remote cameras are showing the season's first dusting of snow on the higher peaks around Lake Tahoe this morning.  The autumnal equinox +/- a couple of days, that's right about on the usual schedule.
