Advice on a Transcanada Highway western roadtrip

I'll be at Mt. Hood (Ore) for 10 days mid June for a ski race camp for my daughter.  And for a big change of pace, I think I'm going to spend a week and take the TCH back.

I've been to Saulte Ste Marie numerous times and decided I wanted to go around the Northern loop of the Lake Superior Circle Route (I've done the Michigan and Wisconsin pieces). And then I figured as long as I was going planning to drive for a few hundred miles in Canada, might as well go for a few thousand.

At the very least I want to go through Banff National Park.

Where else should I plan on seeing.

I'd drive the whole Icefields Expressway for sure. I enjoyed driving the Yellowhead all the way from Portage la Prairie to Jasper before doing the Icefields southbound. I know this sounds strange, but I kind of liked Saskatoon on our drive. It kind of felt like a prairie version of Fort Collins near me.

If you're interested in history, in Thunder Bay is the Fort William Historical Park https://fwhp.ca/

It's a historically accurate recreation of the North West Company trading post fort. They had the best interpretive staff we've ever seen.

Also near Thunder Bay is Kakabeka Falls, the second highest waterfall in Ontario. There are numerous other waterfalls all along the route along the North Shore.

That's the farthest west we've been on the Trans-Canada.
