Title: Roadgeek humour
Post by: TravelingBethelite on September 24, 2015, 12:42:31 PM
How does being a roadgeek change your outlook on the world? Does it make anything funnier, or does it confuse you ever? Here's a story of my own.
I'm in math class, learning about square roots. However, I'm getting really confused everytime the teacher says 'square root sign' becasue I keep thinking of this: (https://www.aaroads.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.kurumi.com%2Froads%2Fct%2Fmarkers%2Fct302.png&hash=bd333fee63990d91568d17e0b0fa0377c0ee7167) Silly me...  :sombrero:

I laugh every time 'Sesame Street' is mentioned.

I used to be amused by the old BP logo that was in the shape of the Interstate shield. Same thing with Phillips 66 with the faux Route 66 shield.

(Just FYO) The BP shield logo predates the Interstate shield. It appeared in about 1930, not too long after the US route shield.

Oh that's refreshing to know I'm not the only one who has no clue what this could even remotely mean.

Me first, forget you.  Except sometimes a different word is used for the second F.

Why is it hard for them to get good grades?

Because they are now unable to get an "A".

In shop class in 6th grade, we learned how to do blueprints in "single stroke Gothic lettering." The teacher said this form of lettering was in all-capitals because "the Goths had no lowercase."

We learned how to do it all over again when I was a high school sophomore, because I had moved from public to private schools, and the private schools are way behind.
