Ok, I got a game for you ...on all the Interstates (including beltways, loops, spurs as well as mainlines) can you name the interchanges (either consecutive or mileage-based) where the exit number matches the route being intersected....
Two examples to start you off with:
I-71, Exit 104 > Ohio Route 104
I-270 Exit 23 > US Route 23
OK, y'all....have fun with THIS one!
<shrug shoulders> You took the two I was going to use. :-P
oops.....sorry! :pan:
US 41, Exit 41, I-465 Indy
Bunch of others. Too lazy to think. :P
US 7 in CT. Exit 1 = US 1
Now the real prize would be an instance where the matched route is an interstate. Hmm...

I think you have that confused for US 31 at Exit 31, since 41 is at least 70 miles west of Indy. On that same highway a few miles down the road you have Exit 37 with I-69 and SR 37.
This is not quite what you're looking for but there is an Exit 65 on I-65 in Tennessee (for TN 96). I really thought that was interesting back when the speed limit was 65!
Back on topic:
US 11 Enters/Leaves I-75 at Exit 11 north of Chattanooga.
and a near miss:
The exit for US 31A/41A on TN 840 is Exit 42.
Interstate 85 South interchanges I-75 North @ exit 85 just north of the start of the Downtown Connector in Atlanta.
Be well,
Bryant
While this isn't quite what the OP was going for, Exit 264 on I-64 in VA is for I-664.
Exit 29A off of I-80 in Vallejo is for Route 29...
Exit 64 on I-40 Arkansas is for U.S. 64
Exit 13 on I-664 is for US-13 (and US-460, US-58, and VA-191).
These are more common than one might think. I-64 eastbound's Exit 75 in Kentucky is for I-75. I-75's Exit 25 is for US 25W. I've photographed numerous examples in several states.
I-70 Exit 19A/B - US 19
I-79 Exit 60/A/B - PA 60
I-376 Exit 60 - PA 60
I-540 Exit 62 : US 62/ AR 180/ "invisible" AR 16 Farmington/ Univ Arkansas
I-40 Exit 64 : US 64 Lamar
Interstate 10 at Mississippi 57 is Exit 57.
the northern I-75/I-275 split in Florida occurs on I-75 at exit ... 274.
I really wish they'd fudge the numbers just a small bit to make things easy for people.
A slight palindrome-like variation is I-95 Exit 244 for FL 442.
That's the most exciting one down here :(

And Exit 275 is for FL 56, they should just bump both of them up one.
Here's a new one for this game,
On I-294 (IL), US-6 will be at Exit 6 by the end of this year (when they finish adding exit numbers to the Tri-State Tollway).
I-87/I-287/NY Thruway exit 9: US 9
I-87/Adirondack Northway exit 7: NY 7 east
NY 17 exit 79: NY 79
I-890 exit 7: NY 7 east (second one for NY 7, eh?)
There's not enough freeways and appropriately numbered state routes in Nevada for this to happen.
The closest I can find:
I-80, exit 279 (West Carlin interchange) - SR 278 to Eureka
ME I-295 exit 1 is signed TO US1 (http://maps.google.com/?q=43.626881%C2%B0,+-70.329065%C2%B0&ie=UTF8&ll=43.626034,-70.334666&spn=0.004093,0.008272&t=k&z=17&layer=c&cbll=43.626089,-70.334272&panoid=j5jjn5BQkOnnioEYouXfHA&cbp=12,81.37,,0,-19.98) -- although it does not intersect it directly.
Not interstate, but both A1(M) junction 14 and M11 junction 14 in GB are for the A14. M25 junction 2 is for the A2. M4 junction 4a is for the A4. M54 junction 5 is for the A5. M8 junction 8 is for the A8. That's it for Britain.
I-10 exit 1A in CA is for CA1
I-95 exit 1A in FL is for US1
I-287 exits 1A and 1B in NJ are for US1
I-95 exit 1 in MA is for US1
Well, here's another almost:
I-285 interchanges with S.R. 54/Jonesboro Rd. SE at exit 55.
Be well,

Does this count?
Exit 1 (A/B) on I-440 in Nashville interchanges with US 70S which has a hidden state route of TN 1.
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=nashville+tn&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=49.624204,45&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Nashville,+Davidson,+Tennessee&ll=36.138152,-86.80757&spn=0.025647,0.055747&z=15
If this counts, exit 17 off the NY Thruway/I-87 accesses NY 17K (the third on I-87!).
Also, not an exit/route number coincidence, but an exit number/distance coincidence...

Speaking of coincidences, here is the exit 17 on the Thruway. Notice: exit number 17, route 17(K), and 17 miles to the next exit (sign has been replaced)!

This isn't really quite on topic, but when heading south on US-127, exit 127 is the exit for Bus. US-127.
Less frequent than I thought- I could only find one in a quick perusal of my photos

Here is a numeric coincedence... on I-20 WB in Louisiana, at milemarker 134, there is a BGS attached overhead to a bridge: EXIT 132--LA 133 (shield)--Columbia/Start. On the EB side at milemarker 131 will be a BGS showing the same thing! :-P

On I-90 (MassPike) in West Newton, MA, Exit 16 connects to MA 16.
A close call and a former from NC. The southern end of the Triangle Expressway Toll Road is Exit 54 for NC 55 (Bypass). Before NCDOT put I-40 back through Greensboro, for a short time US 220 South on I-40 East was Exit 220.
I-270 in the Denver metro, Exit 2 is Colorado Highway 2.
I-49 in Louisiana has LA 119 (Cloutierville) at exit 119. The next exit northbound is LA 120, but the exit number is 127 :-(
There aren't any others in Louisiana I don't think.
A palindrome in Shreveport on I-20. Exit 8 is US 80
Other close calls are exit 137 on I-20....LA 138 & US 425 Rayville Archibald
And if US 167/LA 28 Pineville Expressway ever got exit numbers, I'm sure the Downtown Alexandria Hwy 1 exit would get a 1 or a 1C
One close one off the top of my head is
On West Loop 610 in Houston, I-10 is exit 11.
Exit 412 to U.S. 412 on I-25 at Springer NM. Except that when New Mexico replaced the signage along that part of I-25, they eliminated mention of U.S. 412, which was previously on fractional 56/412 shields.

More in New England: I-84 Exit 7 is for US 7. If I-384 didn't end in Bolton Notch, Exit 6 would be for US 6. I-91 Exit 5 in both CT and VT is for US 5, and Exit 10 used to say "TO CT 10" before Route 40 was numbered. I-495 Exit 38 is for MA 38. I-293 Exit 3 (though not numbered, but implied) says "To US 3"). I-295 In RI Exit 6 is US 6, and in MA Exit 1 is US 1. I-95 in MA Exit 1 is US 1, Exit 4 in NH is US 4. I-295 in ME Exit 1 is US 1

Even more interesting, the road at the current Exit 220 off I-40 (Randleman Road) used to be US 220 South (course back then it was exit 124 since I-40 used to end at this exit)
I-75 in TN: US 11 (and US 64) at exit 11.
I-77 in VA: US 52 at exit 52.
I-74 in IN: IN 25 at exit 25.
I-86 in NY, Exit 79 is NY 79 (Windsor exit.)
Exit 40 on I-55 in Louisiana is for LA-40.
The exit for QC 104 on A-30 used to be number 104, but the entire highway had its exits renumbered last year.
Only one I currently know of in northern Virginia, and that's I-495 exit 50 to US-50.
Also, before Virginia switched I-95/I-495 to mileage-based numbering, one reached US-1 via exit 1.
I-185's exit 1 is for GA 1 (along with US 27, US 280, and GA 520).
If NJDOT did have exit numbers for NJ 495 you might have its US 1 exit as Exit 1 (or 1B & 1C WB as 1A would have to be NJ 3).
In Florida you have Exit 33 on I-4 EB that connects with FL 33.
In Indiana:
Exit 50 on I-65 is for US 50
Exit 31 on I-465 is for US 31
Exit 37 on I-465 is for IN 37 (and I-69)
Exit 25 on I-74 is for IN 25
A close call on I-295 SB in NJ: Exit 30 is for Warwick Rd, Exit 29 is for US 30.

Close but no cigar. A similar scenario exists for MA 24 in Fall River, Exit 5 being for US 6.
That said & IMHO,
neither one of the above-two examples would count.
Exit 75 for I-64 (eastbound only) in Kentucky is for I-75.
Exit 25 on I-75 is for US 25W.
If West Virginia signed its Exit 34 on I-64 the way it does most of its exits, that would be for WV 34. However, it's signed for CR 19. Contrast that with the previous exit for Milton, which is signed for US 60 but is actually a county route as well.
