If this counts, exit 17 off the NY Thruway/I-87 accesses NY 17K (the third on I-87!).

Also, not an exit/route number coincidence, but an exit number/distance coincidence...

Speaking of coincidences, here is the exit 17 on the Thruway. Notice: exit number 17, route 17(K), and 17 miles to the next exit (sign has been replaced)!

This isn't really quite on topic, but when heading south on US-127, exit 127 is the exit for Bus. US-127.

Less frequent than I thought- I could only find one in a quick perusal of my photos

Here is a numeric coincedence... on I-20 WB in Louisiana, at milemarker 134, there is a BGS attached overhead to a bridge:  EXIT 132--LA 133 (shield)--Columbia/Start.  On the EB side at milemarker 131 will be a BGS showing the same thing!  :-P

On I-90 (MassPike) in West Newton, MA, Exit 16 connects to MA 16.

A close call and a former from NC. The southern end of the Triangle Expressway Toll Road is Exit 54 for NC 55 (Bypass). Before NCDOT put I-40 back through Greensboro, for a short time US 220 South on I-40 East was Exit 220.

I-270 in the Denver metro, Exit 2 is Colorado Highway 2.

I-49 in Louisiana has LA 119 (Cloutierville) at exit 119. The next exit northbound is LA 120, but the exit number is 127 :-(

There aren't any others in Louisiana I don't think.

A palindrome in Shreveport on I-20. Exit 8 is US 80

Other close calls are exit 137 on I-20....LA 138 & US 425 Rayville Archibald

And if US 167/LA 28 Pineville Expressway ever got exit numbers, I'm sure the Downtown Alexandria Hwy 1 exit would get a 1 or a 1C

One close one off the top of my head is

On West Loop 610 in Houston, I-10 is exit 11.

The High Plains Traveler

Exit 412 to U.S. 412 on I-25 at Springer NM. Except that when New Mexico replaced the signage along that part of I-25, they eliminated mention of U.S. 412, which was previously on fractional 56/412 shields.

US 7 in CT. Exit 1 = US 1

More in New England: I-84 Exit 7 is for US 7. If I-384 didn't end in Bolton Notch, Exit 6 would be for US 6.  I-91 Exit 5 in both CT and VT is for US 5, and Exit 10 used to say "TO CT 10" before Route 40 was numbered. I-495 Exit 38 is for MA 38.  I-293 Exit 3 (though not numbered, but implied) says "To US 3").  I-295 In RI Exit 6 is US 6, and in MA Exit 1 is US 1.  I-95 in MA Exit 1 is US 1, Exit 4 in NH is US 4. I-295 in ME Exit 1 is US 1
Interstates I've clinched: 97, 290 (MA), 291 (CT), 291 (MA), 293, 295 (DE-NJ-PA), 295 (RI-MA), 384, 391, 395 (CT-MA), 395 (MD), 495 (DE), 610 (LA), 684, 691, 695 (MD), 695 (NY), 795 (MD)

Even more interesting, the road at the current Exit 220 off I-40 (Randleman Road) used to be US 220 South (course back then it was exit 124 since I-40 used to end at this exit)

I-75 in TN: US 11 (and US 64) at exit 11.
I-77 in VA: US 52 at exit 52.
I-74 in IN: IN 25 at exit 25.

I-86 in NY, Exit 79 is NY 79 (Windsor exit.)

Exit 40 on I-55 in Louisiana is for LA-40.
Davenport, IA -> Valparaiso, IN -> Ames, IA -> Orlando, FL -> Gainesville, FL -> Evansville, IN

Dr Frankenstein

The exit for QC 104 on A-30 used to be number 104, but the entire highway had its exits renumbered last year.

Only one I currently know of in northern Virginia, and that's I-495 exit 50 to US-50.

Also, before Virginia switched I-95/I-495 to mileage-based numbering, one reached US-1 via exit 1.

I-185's exit 1 is for GA 1 (along with US 27, US 280, and GA 520).

roadman65

If NJDOT did have exit numbers for NJ 495 you might have its US 1 exit as Exit 1 (or 1B & 1C WB as 1A would have to be NJ 3).

In Florida you have Exit 33 on I-4 EB that connects with FL 33.

In Indiana:

Exit 50 on I-65 is for US 50

Exit 37 on I-465 is for IN 37 (and I-69)
Exit 25 on I-74 is for IN 25

Bunch of others.  Too lazy to think. :P

I-465 does not have an Exit 41, and anyway US 41 does not come within 80 miles of I-465.
