I guess you can call it a freeway, but the longest I can think of is the causeway over Lake Ponchatrain. The bridge itself is about 24 miles, but I'm not sure how far the two closest exits on either side of the bridge are from the end of the bridge. I guess you can say it's 26 miles total, give or take a little.
The Mass Pike (I-90) between Exits 2 and 3 tops that. It's about 29 miles.

On an interstate, the longest distance between exits is 37 miles (Exits 4 and 41) on Interstate 80 in western Utah...
The 51 mile distance between today's exits 193 and 244 on the Florida's Turnpike is often cited, but there is a service plaza at milepost 230 (and a new exit 240 recently added to narrow the gap a bit as well).
I could've sworn we've had this topic before, but when I attempted to find it (to merge the two together), I did not.
Looks like the best Wisconsin can do is the ~14 miles between exits 92 (US 12) & 106 (WI 33) on I-90/94 between Portage & The Dells.

I recall discussing this before, too, but perhaps as a tangent of something else. . .
Virginia doesn't have any longer than 10 miles, and we barely get that. That would be the 10-mile gap on I-81 between Exits 118 (Christiansburg) and 128 (Ironto).

Service-free sections of interstate (https://www.aaroads.com/forum/index.php?topic=443)
Duke87: Thanks! Amazingly, I don't think that thread quite answers the question here, if only because the long service-free stretch mentioned (from Exits 61 to 260 on I-90 in South Dakota) isn't necessarily as long as noted (due to Wall Drug at Exit 109) and still involves other exits between the three listed.
The oft-referenced Florida's Turnpike example is tricky since while it is true there is a (now) 47 mile stretch between exit points, the service plaza makes it only a 37 mile gap between ramps (equalling that of I-80 in western Utah).

indeed, I was thinking of a different thread that explicitly addressed the distance between exits. Wonder where it went. Well, knowing how this board operates, it was probably a tangential discussion inside a completely unrelated thread.

And, one of the most beautiful sections of Interstate 81 to travel through, I may add.
If we're doing this by state, then the longest distance in Illinois is 22 miles on I-88 between Exits 54 and 76 (Dixon and Rochelle). The ISTHA has a few other competing stretchs of 17 and 13 miles or so. IDOT usually doesn't have much longer than 12 miles.
The longest distance between freeway exits in Nevada is on I-80 between Exit 48 (Fernley east) and Exit 65 (Nightingale Hot Springs), a mere 17 miles--this distance will decrease in the future with the completion of a new interchange near Fernley, which is under construction about a mile or two east of Exit 48.
I think Utah may win this contest. I think it's on I-80 between exits 2 and 64 thru the Bonneville salt flats (I have no map in front of me, but I remember looking at it in a road atlas).
Nope. The gap on I-80 is 37 miles, from exit 4 to 41.
BC97C has an approximate 20 mile gap from its eastern end to its next exit.
9/11 Conspiracy Freak guru Alex Jones thinks toll road interchanges are specifically placed 50 miles apart.
:-D :spin:
Perhaps he should tell that to the people who've driven on the New York State Thruway and New Jersey Turnpike.
 :-P :pan:
The longest distance between interchanges in New Jersey is a measly 13.3 between Exits 2 and 3 on the New Jersey Turnpike. While not continuous over both directions, there is a 14 mile gap between Exit 38 and Exit 50 on the Parkway North.

Top 16 longest gaps between Interstate exits (http://content.usatoday.com/communities/driveon/post/2011/08/longest-distances-between-exits-on-US-freeways-415029/1)
It's been noted in that group that the I-70 in Colorado entry is incorrect, as there is an exit 62 serving the town of De Beque.
It is interesting in that only the top 6 longest distances are over 30 miles. I just assumed there would be more long distances out there.

Q: What is the longest distance between interchanges?
A: In the U.S., there are 51 miles southbound and 49 miles northbound between Exit 193 (US-441/FL-60) and Exits 242/244 (US-192/441), and 41 miles between Exit 152 (FL-70) and Exit 193, on Florida's Turnpike. There are 37 miles between Exit 4 (Bonneville Speedway) and Exit 41 (Knolls) on I-80 in western Utah, the longest stretch on both a free highway and a publicly-numbered highway (Florida's Turnpike is officially FL-91 but there are no references to that in the field). There are also no services between these two I-80 exits, just a pair of rest areas (the two Florida's Turnpike stretches listed above both have a median service area along them). See Question 6.10 for the longest stretch between services on an Interstate and Question 6.10.1 for the longest stretch on an Interstate between other Interstates. Jun 10, 2005
In the USA Today article, it lists I-70 as two separate lines. First: that's the PA Turnpike, which is I-70 AND I-76...and second: a Brotherton Rd ramp? Is that relatively new or an error in the article?
Longest in Michigan: Likely 14 miles between Exit 359 and Exit 373 along I-75 in the eastern Upper Peninsula.

the gaps get even smaller when you factor in the at-grade crossings for ranches. not that you will find any services at a lot of them, but opportunities to leave the freeway occur every 8-10 miles at most.
It looks like the longest gaps in Colorado are:
I-70 - the 13 miles on either side of De Beque, and also the 13 miles (according to Rand McNally) between Burlington and the Kansas state line.
I-25 - 7 miles in three different places (42-49, 174-181 and 271-278).
I-76 - 13 miles (102-115).

And those 13-mile segments are endangered as there are definite plans for a new exit about 2 miles west of Parachute's Exit 75, as part of a northwest truck bypass of Parachute, and (I believe) a study on another new interchange -- this time a couple of miles west of DeBeque's Exit 62 to serve a new truck hauling company's HQ along the northern Frontage Road.
As far as the new DeBeque interchange being considered, it would make a lot of sense to make it at least a partial-diamond interchange (EB off/WB on) at the point where the North Frontage Road/Old US 6 and the South Frontage Road dead end, save for the "U-Turn Overpass" which connects the ends of the frontage roads.
Florida's Turnpike between US-192/441 and FL-60 (51 miles)
In Michigan:
I-69: 8 miles between Exit 105 (M-52) and Exit 113 (Grand River Rd)
I-75: 14 miles between Exit 359 (M-134) and Exit 373 (M-48)
I-94: 9 miles between Exit 248 (26 Mile Rd) and Exit 257 (Fred Moore Hwy)
I-96 WB: 7 miles between Exit 52 (M-50) and Exit 59 (Nash Hwy)
I-96 EB: 8 miles between Exit 137 (CR D-19) and Exit 145 (Grand River Ave) - Exit 141 is WB only
US-23: 7 miles between Exit 60 (I-96) and Exit 67 (M-59)
US-31: 8 miles between Exit 158 (Oceana Dr) and Exit 166 (Pere Marquette Hwy)
US-127: 14 miles between Exit 176 (Clare Ave) and Exit 190 (Snow Bowl Rd)
US-131: 10 miles between Exit 142 (19 Mile Rd) and Exit 153 (US-10) - Exit 142 is misnumbered
As recent as 2001, there was a nine mile distance between Exit 43 (M-11) and Exit 52 (M-50) along I-96. Since that timeframe, two exits have been opened, Exit 44 (36th St) and Exit 46 (M-6).
There's an approximately 11 mile stretch between exits on the Atlantic City Expressway, between Exits 17 & 28. However, there's a service plaza around MP 20 for those that take off points for accessible food/fuel on the roadway.
Considering the density of North Jersey, there's a surprisingly long 9 mile stretch between Exits 8A (South Brunswick) & 9 (New Brunswick) on the NJ Turnpike.
Longest in Nebraska is 13 miles between Exit 164(Hershey-Link 56C) and Exit 177(North Platte-US 83)
Longest I can think of in Pennsylvania is between exit 110 (US 219 in Somerset) and exit 146 (I-99/US 220 in Bedford) along the Pennsylvania Turnpike, which is around 35 miles.
USA today has got it screwed up... or they made the Bazzar Cattle Pens an "exit" on the Turnpike. The 30 miles between Admire and South Topeka on the Turnpike is not the longest gap between exits. Cassoday is exit 92, Emporia is exit 127, and in between the two exits is 35 miles of long tangents and short-radius curves, along with the Matfield Green Service Plaza and the aforementioned Cattle Pens.
Incidentally, the Kansas Turnpike would have had the longest distance between exits prior to the opening of the Cassoday interchange. Exit 76 was built *after* Cassoday, but Exit 71 is one of the original exits. Thus, the Kansas Turnpike had a 56 mile gap between exits prior to opening Cassoday.
Getting the sequential pests out of the way...
Connecticut: 5 miles between exits 42 and 44 on the parkway (should be exits 22-27)
Massachusetts: 29 miles between exits 2 and 3 on the Mass Pike (should be exits 11-40)
Rhode Island: 5 miles between exits 4 and 5 on I-95 (should be exits 9-14)

Delaware: 9 miles between exits 119 and 136 on DE 1 (should be exits 76-85)
Hmm... so that makes Connecticut, Delaware, and Florida with their top distance not on an interstate. Are there any other states in this club?
For Hawaii it's 8 miles between exits 1 and 9 on I-H3.
Interestingly, the state with the puniest contribution to this (other than DC) actually appears to be Alaska, which cannot muster more than 4 miles between any two of the unnumbered exits on the freeway section of AK 1 (I-A4).

I will be that man. But I also have found something of a discrepancy. Going by the mileage points as listed on the Wikipedia, the distances are as follows:
Exits 28 to 41: 13.24 miles
Exits 92 to 106: 12.60 miles
But if you measure from bridge to bridge on Google Maps, you get the following:

Exits 92 to 106: 13.5 miles
That second one is way inconsistent, for some reason. So, who knows. I'm inclined to go with the Goog, though.

I'll go with google if you measured it pretty accurately with the ruler tool. Like when I made fictional exit numbers for US 36 in various states a while ago, almost all of the wikipedia mileposts on the section between Boulder and Denver are 7 miles lower than what I got out of the ruler tool, so I just went with the ruler tool results for my exit numbers.
You have sort of I-895 in Maryland. It has all partial interchanges on both sides of Harbor Tunnel so anyone entering from its south end from I-95 has to travel 8 miles to Childs Street to exit even though many ramps lead on in between. It used to be longer as Childs Street is a newby and the first exit prior was Holibard Avenue north of the Tunnel being close to 11 miles from the south end.

How does one define 'distance between exits'? Is it from bridge to bridge, or from gore point to gore point?

I see bridge to bridge used the most, as with Wikipedia's exit lists in most cases. The mile marker at the bridge is where the exit number comes from in most places, how it rounds at like a x.9 mile marker can vary.

WI: 13.5 miles between the waterpark exit and the skiing exit. (can you guess where those exits are?)
been up there a couple of times, lemme guess without referencing a map
waterpark one is the easternmost exit for Wisconsin Dells with US 12
ski one, I don't remember the road it exits too, but it's one west of the I-39 exit
Ding ding ding! It's WI-33.

I thought the longest in WI was on I-90 passing through Fort McCoy.
Nope. That's 12.5 miles.
FWIW I measured 13.3 miles between the westernmost merge point of the WI-33 exit and the easternmost merge point of the US-12 exit, did the same between the WI-131 and WI-71 exits, and got 12.5 miles.
If not a winner, a contender: G7 in Inner Mongolia, at 179 km, or 112 miles (there are two intermediary full trumpet interchanges, but go nowhere as of yet according to Satellite View).

Then a 294 km/184 mile here:

Another 179/112: https://goo.gl/maps/wrtiAmQpaso7CHce9
You missed two exits in that supposed 294 km section. It is only half of that: https://www.google.com/maps/dir/41.7021059,103.1393613/42.0207531,101.5265201/@41.9335939,101.8637033,119052m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!4m1!3e0!5m1!1e4. However, there's another 98 km (61 mile) gap East of this.
The longest exit gap in Spain is the 52 km (32 miles) between exits 3 and 4 of AP-2. Toll-free freeways (some may consider this a redundancy) have more exits and closely spaced, but I know two 17 km (11 mile) gaps on A-23.
