What are your plans for the United States Labor Day Weekend in 2024? Too bad polling isn't enabled here, otherwise there would be a poll for:
- Stay put at home
- Staying within town
- Out of town day trip
- Out of town overnight trip
Already went to the UofM and Fresno State game last night. About to walk to the door to The Henry Ford and I'm heading to Cleveland tomorrow.
Friday: Out to dinner and around town
Saturday: Pretty much stuck around the house
Today: ? Might go see a band. Might go on a day trip.
Tomorrow: Undoubtedly will stick around the house.
I might go on my long-awaited Roanoke Trip tomorrow, if not then I'll either do the Virginia Beach trip or stay home.
Met up with my parents and son yesterday.
Headed out on just a long daytrip tomorrow around southwestern NY.
Today: Nothing. Might get on the treadmill.
Sitting at home watching NASCAR today.
Staying home as I have every weekend this year. Went to Busch Gardens on Friday. Worked on my GIS classwork yesterday then went to the gym. More GIS classwork today and probably tomorrow while playing Diablo IV in between. Also grilling out tomorrow with my Dad coming over.
Potty training my son.
At the state fair today.

I hope you eat everything on a stick and a bunch of cheese curds and mini donuts for me.
Today I took my wife to Greenfield Village, the Gordie Howe Bridge site and downtown Detroit to one of the Coney Island restaurants.
I am probably going to labor.

This is how I read your post at first glance.

I would have at least told you all I was pregnant first.

Breathe in, breathe out and push.
Friday: Rode the new light rail extension to Lynnwood and partied with tens of thousands of other people
Saturday: Rode the train again to meet up with friends, then went to a UW Huskies football game
Sunday: Rode the train again to go walk through downtown and meet with friends
Monday: Social battery is depleted, so this is a rest/errands day
Seattle is apparently the top destination (https://www.foxbusiness.com/lifestyle/labor-day-travel-bookings-up-us-year-here-top-destinations) for Labor Day travelers, and I can see why. Between Metallica's concerts, Bumbershoot, and two state fairs there's a lot going on right now.
I think I am about to check out the new WV 243.
No one is celebrating in the way of the old Workers' Paradise (R) of the 20th century Soviet Union, by working for free?
:hmmm:

I answered a couple work-related emails today. Does that count?
Saturday: Went to Choctaw Casino with my mother.
Sunday: Went to a local Target with my mother. Let my mother wander the store for two hours.
Monday: Staying home and catching up on work.
Thus, "Day Trips".
I also finally happed all of my devices in my WiFi mesh router. Not sure why since I don't take advantage of the traffic management stuff or advanced family filtering.

Had a pork chop, promto pup, and more, just for you. The one thing I forgot to have was the hot dish on a stick, which is the one food I am slightly annoyed I forgot to get.
I had a little more exotic flavor with a banh mi roll from the Scenic 61 stand, whose home base restaurant is on Duluth's eastern fringe. The filling was good.

<< - - wonders if the Wisconsin State Fair does cream puffs on a stick . . .

Mowed the front lawn Saturday. Had church Sunday. Took the minivan to get gas today. In between relaxed and slept.
Son is mostly potty trained after a full weekend of "intensive" training. That feels pretty good. Now I have two fantasy football drafts tonight.

Ended up the day trip was a trip to my son and daughter-in-law's for a night of sangria and cards. Spent the night and came home this morning.
Today was just a regular day over here, as Labor Day is May 1. However I had a great weekend, as I reached out to the family of an autistic boy at an ultra trail race, and being somewhat autistic myself as well (in fact what was formerly known as Asperger's) I shared my experience with them.
Spent the day engaged in mild hiking in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. I thought it would be a softie on a National holiday and I was right. My wife has never been, so that's another park off her list. Spent the afternoon in a close to empty downtown Cleveland.

I didn't stay home, but I stayed in my home county, spending time with some relatives.
Flew MDW->HOU on Friday.
Rented a car and drove to College Station to stay with friends of my wife.
Went to see the Fighting Irish triumph over Texas A&M Saturday.
Drove back to Houston Sunday for the flight home.
Recovering today.

You should have stayed in Detroit for another day. You could have gone to the Detroit Zoo and seen me in my volunteer role at the Australian Outback exhibit.

Still in the area for another day, we are heading to Frankenmuth in a couple hours. My wife is a Christmas enthusiast and today is her birthday.
I unironically visited Orleans County, NY :D
Worked Friday (but left early to make it to the vet before they closed to pick up flea treatments for the felines).
On Saturday, I made my normal trip to town to use my Dollar General coupon (this time it was save $10 off a $40 purchase) and visit the grocery store.
Sunday, I went to my brother's to have him replace the AC blower motor in my truck. Unfortunately, the bad motor also took out the resistor, so the fan only works on high, so I'll have to get a resistor to install.
Yesterday was my 29th wedding anniversary. We stayed home and did nothing special.

Too bad kphoger seems to be on one of his hiatuses right now.
Hey, we have Labour Day up here too, it's just a letter longer! :D
Mine wasn't too exciting, just stayed around home, still working on chores for the new house (weekend #3 living here). I did get a Costco membership on Sunday though (an important mark of adulthood!) :-D

Did we have another account get hacked?
