I was driving through a north Jackson neighborhood on a street called Northpointe Drive. As I proceeded to take a left turn, I noticed that Northpointe was misspelled. It was spelled "Notrhpointe". I took a picture of it but I don't know how to post it on here. I'm sure that's not the only misspelled sign out there.

I was looking at the price of gas on that sign...lol! I wish it were that low.

The Orlando Orange County Expressway Authority spells re-entry as reentry on all of its  guide signs for exits that do not have return entrances  on its expressway system.
Every day is a winding road, you just got to get used to it.

I accept and respect your identity as long as it's not dumb shit like "identifying as a vaccinated attack helicopter".

Hmmm... I think you've been chastised by the mods about these types of posts that really don't add anything to the "conversation".  Might I suggest that you edit your post adding some substance to it before you get banned by the mods?  Something along the lines of "According to the XYZ dictionary, reentry is a properly spelled word.  Here's a link to the definition... http://..."  Just trying to be helpful here.  Thanks.

If I owned a dam and decided to donate it to charity, would I be giving a dam? I'm sure that might be a first because no one really gives a dam.

Come on now, Cleveland gets enough crap.

This however, is not in Cleveland, this in Highland Park, New Jersey, the town I live in.

(This sign, along with McCallum Place, was one of two freestanding typos. Personally I found the McCallum one a bit more insulting to misspell as they were big around town. I finally went to borough hall for something else and remembered those needed fixing. I know the McCallum one was replaced, I think I saw the Cleveland one has finally been fixed.)

I've seen a few in my time.

"Buisness" for "Business" in Abingdon, Va.

"Natuarl" for "Natural" at the intersection where I grew up.

"Hurrnicane" for "Hurricane" in Breathitt County, Ky.
Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.

This probably isn't misspelled, but in Bettendorf, there's an Old Freeport Pl, and it continues as Olde Freeport Ct. Not many people see it, as they're both short cul-de-sacs in the back of a small neighborhood. Google says they're both Old Freeport, and the Iowa DOT map says they're both Olde Freeport.

There used to be a sign on northbound South Capitol Street in DC, just as it started to dive under M Street SW/SE, that read "Pedestrain Prohibited." It was removed a couple of years ago when Nationals Park was being constructed nearby. I always meant to get a photo but never did.

The following sign may be seen in the hourly "C" garage at Reagan Airport near the bridge to the terminal.

"You know, you never have a guaranteed spot until you have a spot guaranteed."
—Olaf Kolzig, as quoted in the Washington Times on March 28, 2003,
commenting on the Capitals clinching a playoff spot.

"That sounded stupid, didn't it?"
—Kolzig, to the same reporter a few seconds later.

Here's a good one from a couple of years ago from I-39 in the Wausau area:

"Exit" is the only one of the 4 words on the sign spelled correctly.

This used to be posted on I-395 near the Pentagon directing drivers to Reagan Airport. It was fixed fairly quickly after the local news picked up on the error.

Pardon the shoddy angle, but look what Highland Park has started using....ugh. That is the replaced Clevland sign. And yes it does say Cleveland.

I went to a wedding in Boston last year.  Apparently one block of the street grid adjacent to the cathedral was renamed in honor of a church figure some time ago: Monsignor Reynolds Way.  Of course, the signs abbreviate it Msgr Reynolds Way.  One one end.  On the other end, it's Msrg Reynolds Way.  "Monsirnog" maybe?
Wait, it's all Ohio? Always has been.

How about this one - from my "funky fives" folder, but the sign underneath the wacko numbers is the one I'm talking about here:
(my original photo is in pretty high resolution and I can't see any trace that there ever was a "W" on there, but judging from the look of that "B" I'd say it must have fell off.  But you never know!  (from near Munising MI):

And this is a repost from the "mixed case" thread - but in Fort Collins, CO they are changing from UPPERCASE to mixed case signs, and this one was near to my parents' house - It's supposed to be Ayrshire.   (My Mom complained, it got changed a few days later)

good to see Michigan custom fonts in the C width.  D width is very easy to find (see: a lot of route markers) but C is somewhat tougher.

That sign is just as non-compliant as the misspelled one, despite the fact it is in Clearview. It is non-retroreflective.
