Last accident for me was December 8, 2009.  Snowy/icy evening along southbound Weber Road between Division Street and Caton Farm Road.  It always ices up there due to the openness of the terrain and the lack of buildings/trees.  Jerk in a pickup truck pulled an asshole move causing two other vehicles to spinout about 20-30 car lengths in front of me.  I tried to stop, but it was too damned icy (I was only going about 25 mph at this time).  Wound up pumping the brakes while steering for the gap between the spinning car and oncoming traffic (what a choice!).  Managed to slow to about 3mph before the back end slid out and my right rear tire met his right headlight.  Damaged my suspension and broke his headlight.  He could drive away, I couldn't (tire was at a weird camber).  The cop who showed up (Crest Hill) almost couldn't stop coming northbound and slid a bit.  And when he turned his lights on (still going northbound), a lady next to him panicked and ran up over the curb into the ditch.  Needless to say, no tickets were issued, and my insurance company let me off the hook for half my deductible.

^^ Sounds similar to my sister's accident that totaled her first car back in 2006.  The only accident I was ever in was back in 2007 when I hit a parked car up at UAB.  Anyway, been a rough weekend for me, can't wait until Monday.
