Joey K has announced that the November issue of the Signpost will be the last unless someone wants to pick up editorship...membership was in the 180s back in the day, and current active membership has dropped to 15 and he decided it wasn't worth the effort for so few readers....

A shame as the 'Post always had interesting photos of signs and was the pre-internet way for collectors around the country to contact each other and trade/sell /buy signs

If anyone wants to keep the 'Post going, contact him and he'll be willing to give you what you need to keep it rolling

so, the internet killed another newsletter....

I hope someone will continue The Signpost.  I was one of the charter members (#3) when it began in Autumn 1983.  I would hate to see it fold. :-( :coffee:

The final issue of the Signpost should have been last November.  I e-mailed Joey Koldys in January to inquire if he was still going to publish it, and he said he had been traveling during the holidays and would.  It's late February, and I wonder if he's still going to publish it. :coffee:

He still will....it is very hard to put out the final issue of something he had worked on for so long....it is almost like a death in the family in a way

For the record, the final issue of Signpost arrived in my mailbox yesterday.  It will always be remembered. :coffee:

hmm... I'd love to have his archives, but I'd distribute them electronically, which is what killed his newspaper in the first place!
