Just added a new route shield to my collection:

CSAA, 15 1/2" x 16", erected in the mid 30s in Caltrans District two, on 395 in Lassen or Modoc counties.

Excellent shape for over 75 years old, must have been in a city protected from vandals and shooters or probably not up very long.

Enjoy,

Brian

Where did you get that sign from? My only highway sign that I own to date came from a ditch. The sign was one that someone stole then dumped off.

Nice sign!  It's in much better shape than my Arkansas US 59 shield.

About half of mine are Flea Market finds. The rest are e-bay or custom.

So you'd suggest that I look at flea markets? Just curious, but what's the going price for flea market signs? Someone tried to sell me one from Arkansas online for $20.

What kind of sign? $20 is a good price if it's a route marker in good condition.

Something the size of a No Parking sign I'd not pay more than $10-15 depending on condition.

I paid $10 for this about 10 years ago in a little shop in Missouri (size approx 10x24)

The $20 signs are AR 227, AR 1, US 70, and I-40 (with state name).

You're getting a great deal out of it. Anything under $50 with shipping is a bargain.

Are the AR & US signs standard black/white?

The AR and US signs are standard, current black-and-white ones. It's just like if you went to the intersection of AR 180 and US 71. They're in good condition (scratches and smudges, but not falling apart or peeling).

$20 is a good price either way. Grab them all or send me the ones you don't want ;)

How about... I give you his email. He has a bunch of auxiliary shields for sale (North, East, To, arrows) and of course AR 1 and 227, along with a few US routes and state name Interstate shields. His prices are dirt cheap... I mean, $25 for an Arkansas I-540 shield.

Please do. I have a 540 shield already, but I may be able to come up with a few shekels for 1 or 2 signs ;)

Nothing made to older specs, sadly.
