Worst road in Dallas?

What's the ghettoiest road in Dallas?  I've heard horrible things about Harry Hines Blvd (old US 77.)  I rode down Zangs (or is it "Zang?") Blvd (old US 67/77) and it was pretty nasty.  The area around Cadiz and Industrial is pretty bad too.  What's the worst part of Dallas?

Dealey Plaza.  I believe every president who has gone through there has been shot and killed.

I accept and respect your identity as long as it's not dumb shit like "identifying as a vaccinated attack helicopter".

Actually, the state has done quite a bit with Harry Hines in the last few years, new wider concrete, new lighting, all at the northern end south of Forest and Royal.  Now if you're including the "surroundings", there's only so much TxDOT can do.... :D

It's officially 'Zang' but several older maps (especially the oil co. ones) use 'Zangs' as the label.  The condition you encountered is not surprising since Oak Cliff has sadly played second-fiddle to north Dallas over the years, especially economically.

Meanwhile, San Jacinto downtown and Alpha on the north side east of the Galleria will make you lose your teeth and you'll have to go get dentures.  The city has been working on Lemmon between Inwood and Oak Lawn and it's much better, but they forgot a few places.  Also, farther down, it got new paving along a block east of McKinney, but between the end of it and US 75, is another bit of rough stuff.

There's still several streets that need major attention in Dallas, unfortunately they have other things they'd rather do first, like a bridge to somewhere else, or some more corporate welfare.  I wonder how much they pay attention to the pothole hotline when people dial 311.

Cockerel Hill and the WalMart there are awful.

If you're talking neighborhoods, the police blotter seems to be most active in the Red Bird and Pleasant Grove areas. Buckner Blvd. seems especially dodgy. Harry Hines is where the hookers are.

Old Sportatorium was at Cadiz and Industrial.  And yes, the area around there is quite shit.
I demand an apology.

Interstate 30 east of the Fair Park curve.  They just keep asphalting it over, but you can just look at the barriers and supports to see how bad it is.  Pretty much pisses me off how bad it is from about 1st Ave all the way to the Garland border where at least it has been worked on.  Surprised TxDOT would even let that go on without a major rehab.

I always thought anyone driving through the city on 35E would think its a dump, but anyone driving through on 75/45 would think it was pretty nice.

Lawson Road in Mesquite will crack an axle, but that's not in Dallas so my vote would go to South Grand or Marsh just south of 635.
