Well, that's an interesting Street View image  :pan:  It definitely looks like a camera malfunction to me.  How did you come across this particular GSV image?

That's odd.  I do see a lot of nighttime shots that are awful.  And bugs near the camera look like UFOs.  :P

What?  I've driven that stretch of road a few times, and have probably GMSVd it at least once before.  I would figure the same is true of everybody out there!  :eyebrow:

This is way too common in Street View. Google needs to actually CHECK each shot before it's uploaded. It's either so blurry that it's useless, or it's a huge garbled mess of colors. :pan:

I was taking virtual road trips of places I have been long ago. This was the result. So much of their map images are garbage but this is the most extreme case. Others are so fuzzy you can't even read the signs. Not even sure how to contact Google about this.

At least in the photo the OP linked you can see that there appears to be a yellow sign present. I've seen a lot of Street View images that are just flat-out black screen. Even if were night, the car's headlights ought to provide some illumination.

I always thought that it looked like they had bagged the camera, but not turned it off
