Back when I first moved to Orlando most of West Colonial Drive had a long name that was actually not, as it was mostly redundancy.

WB William Bill McGee Highway was the name on the blade street signs from Hastings Street to the Lake County Line along SR 50.

In actuality his name was William B McGee, a former FDOT employee of importance that part of Colonial Drive was renamed later on before Orange County, FL decided that it would be better if all of SR 50 in Orange County had the same name.  So in retrospect WB McGee, nicknamed Bill (hence the "Bill" in between William and McGee, lost having a highway named after him so that all of SR 50 became Colonial Drive within Orange County, FL.
Every day is a winding road, you just got to get used to it.

By word count, I believe our local winner would have to be Old Road To Nine Acre Corner in Concord.  Locals often write it "ORNAC," which Google Maps even seems to understand.

Here in the Appleton, WI area, there is a 'Butte des Morts Beach Rd'.

On paper, US23 in southern Franklin County is Columbus - Chillicothe Western Rd. Off the top of my head that's the longest I can think of.

The one street blade on US 23 erected by Franklin County calls it Portsmouth — Columbus Rd. Besides, the Western in the name sounds like it should refer to OH 104, which I believe is signed as Jackson Pike.

I know some people who live on Lilly Chapel Opossum Run Rd.  Sometimes for work I drive on Bloomingburg — New Holland Rd. Very close to my house is Plain City — Georgesville Rd. Most of the contenders here are probably going to be of the form Town A — Town B Rd, maybe with a directional like Eastern thrown in.
Wait, it's all Ohio? Always has been.

All of the cities I will claim as my own are relatively boring: Davenport has Veterans Memorial Parkway, the Illinois Quad Cities have Avenue of the Cities, and Valparaiso has Burlington Beach Road, none of which are quite as long as some of the others on this thread.
Davenport, IA -> Valparaiso, IN -> Ames, IA -> Orlando, FL -> Gainesville, FL -> Evansville, IN

That may be Council Bluffs longest as well, except that I believe the locals still refer to it by the old name of South Omaha Bridge Road.  They also have East South Omaha Bridge Road, which I assume was part of the original South Omaha Bridge Road before the current alignment of Iowa 92 existed.

As for Omaha, there are no lengthy street names, as even the streets named for people were people with short last names.  My local Omaha atlas refers to Fort Crook Frontage Road, which is the street Bellevue's auto row is on, but I don't think that's the official name.

Well, these are all cute and long-ish, but if you want really long names:

(Okay, so these are not really posted names...but this hyphenated format is likely a good way to find some of the longest candidates.)

Oh, and there was a thread some time back, specifically about the most words in a street name, which would tend to yield some of the longest as well.

Monroe Co. in NY doesn't sign their county routes so all are known by their names. We have several town line roads here as well as county line roads so some names are rather lengthy.

Monroe-Orleans County Line Rd may be the longest name. Longest street name closest to where I live is Chili Center-Coldwater Rd.

NYC has Avenue of the Americas which could be their longest street name but everyone just refers to it as 6th Ave.

Aw geez, how could I forget Brighton-Henrietta Town Line Road? And yes, it's signed, and yes, people call it that.

(Sometimes it's signed with the abbreviation "TL"–that's in the background of the linked image.)

J Turner Butler Blvd was on BGS but now its as Butler Blvd now.. SR 202.. Called JTB by many but I could see a reference to JTB being confusing to a new resident or visitor. Another confusion is most of the route is freeway.. Blvd implys surface street

I know; I meant that in contrast to my earlier post with the ridiculously long but certainly unsigned St. Lawrence County roads.

Meanwhile, in the Bronx you have Grand Boulevard and Concourse–but since, by the rules of the thread, street descriptors don't count ("street", "road", or in this case "boulevard and concourse"), then this is a non-starter since all we're left with is "Grand". :-D

I saw your post. :) Good thing they don't sign names like Jefferson County Line-Hammond-Ogdensburg Road.

Avenue of the Americas wouldn't really count then either.

In Etobicoke, Ont. (which isn't really my area, but still), there's a Colonel Samuel Smith Park Dr. The sign actually spells it out in full (except for Dr).

Yep, it is indeed 104, I was off in my head. The "on paper" part comes from stuff like this:

In the San Fernando Valley portion of Los Angeles, there is a street called San Fernando Mission Blvd.

At what age do you tell a highway that it's been adopted?
